"Our 1st time at Camp Boomerang" 🤩

My bf and I were invited out by some friends that are seasonals at Camp Boomerang this past weekend for the High Voltage Party (glow sticks, glow in the dark paint, etc) in the woods/"The Outback"

The last mile before we got to the campground, my bf & I were nervous AF, not gonna lie lol. This was our 1st time camping together, & also our 1st time at an all-male clothing-optional campground. We had NO IDEA what to expect!! Upon arrival, Bryan, met us at the front entrance and graciously welcomed us to Boomerang. He showed us around a little and led the way to our campsite for tents. (ps, every RV site was booked, it was a very busy weekend!) He even helped transport our big items from the car to our tent site with his golf cart, which we were VERY appreciative for. We were soon greeted by the other 2 owners & partners, Matt & Paul, who also graciously welcomed us to Boomerang. My bf and I set up our campsite and we began getting ready for the party with our glow sticks and things.

There was shuttle service back into the woods/The Outback for this party. (side note: this campground sits on 80 acres, it's HUGE!) Still not knowing what to expect for this party, my bf and I made our way to "The Outback." The seasonals who put this party together had placed ambient lighting & glowing things along the path that led to this party which was probably a good 1/4 - 1/2 mile back into the woods. Still not knowing what to expect for this party, we arrived! It was MIND-BLOWING!!! It was absolutely breathtaking and magical beyond words to describe!!! (makes me emotional even as I'm writing this) In - the - middle - of - the - FREAKING - WOODS!!!...they had a stage with a DJ booth set up, laser lights, projector/screen, sound system, black lights, tables set up, raised dance boxes for dancers/entertainers. It was one of the most magical experiences my bf and I have ever had!! EVERY fellow camper was so nice, friendly, kind, and welcoming. We quickly learned that 'gays who camp' are probably some of the nicest, most humble people out there in the gay community. It felt like we were home among friends. We met some amazing people and just danced till the wee hours of the morning!! The party was TOP-NOTCH!!

In case some are wondering or nervous about the clothing-optional part, here's my 1st hand experience from this weekend....it was perfect, haha! Some people were fully clothed, some had just shorts on, some were only wearing jockstraps, some were naked, but it was an EXTREMELY comfortable, no-pressure experience. You could make it anything you wanted it to be. It was a perfect balance of everything.

As far as the campground facilities go, this is their build-out year, meaning they're still building this campground, so some facilities aren't finished yet, but they have everything you need even now. Rates are 1/2 off for 2021. There are regular bathrooms to use, as well as showers with hot water (my favorite part lol) They are still building/finishing the pool & hot tub areas, which will include a new club house, bathhouse (showers), bathroom facilities, and poolside suites. Other future campground amenities will include a dog park, laundry room, tenters dishwashing area, a food truck area, and plenty of room for expansion for additional RV sites. You can tell Bryan, Matt, and Paul have an AWESOME dream and vision for their campground. It's going to be classy and top-notch when it's finished!!

In summary, if you're even just considering going to check this campground out, don't hesitate, JUST GO!!! You won't be disappointed! Bryan, Matt & Paul are extremely gracious, welcoming and humble campground hosts! ❤ My bf and I cannot wait to visit again!!! Everyone was just sooooo nice!!

Special shout-out to some of the seasonals who made the High Voltage Party possible. You guys put A LOT of time, energy, planning, and money into that party! It was hands-down, one of the best parties!! The party was LIT!!! (literally haha)

Be apart of the Boomerang family and future. GO TO CAMP...

As a traveller to many campgrounds, Boomerang is by far the best

Each RV site has full sewer, water and electrical hookup.

The location is excellent, secluded enough for privacy and to experience nature but anything and everything you’d possibly need is less that 10 minutes away. (Dollar General is a 3 minute drive, there’s a Menard’s, Meijer, multiple restaurants within 15 minutes)

Extremely big rig friendly - both getting to the park as well as maneuvering inside the park.

Water quality is very good, no issues drinking right from the tap once hooked up.

Prices are extremely reasonable and fair.

Incredible hiking trails

The pool and hot tub facilities are the nicest I’ve ever seen on any campground.

The setup of the park is designed to build social connections and make new friends. Weekend/weekly travelers get spots mixed right in with the folks who are seasonals and stay all summer long. This truly helps make guests feel welcome and part of the family for the weekend and not excluded. There are large community bonfires every Friday for all guests to enjoy.

And saving the best for last, the people here are just wonderful. Some of the kindest, helpful, generous and fun-loving folks you’ll ever met. I can’t recommend this...

This last weekend was my second trip to Camp Boomerang. I arrived Thursday night and after getting my camper set up I decided to drive to Walmart for groceries. With my shopping done I went back to my car to head to camp. My car would not start. So hear I am on a Thursday night at 9pm stranded, alone and no idea what to do. Luckily I had a few of the seasonal campers on Facebook and I messaged then asking for then to call me. They drove 20 minutes from camp to pick me up and make sure I got back to camp safe and sound. When I mentioned to Brian, one of the camp owners, that my car was broke down, he immediately offered to take me to get it with his car hauler. Throughout the weekend most of the campers expressed their concern over the situation and wanted to make sure that I would make it home safe on Monday. These campers truly are a testament to the family atmosphere that Brian, Matt, and Paul have been working so hard to build. These three men truly want everyone to feel welcome and have a great time. Even with this trip being my second visit to Camp Boomerang, my expectations were by far exceeded. I strongly encourage everyone who has not yet been to visit and see what an amazing place Camp...

My partner and I recently visited Camp Boomerang, a men's only clothing optional RV park & campground. We were so impressed with the campground that we already have reservations for future visits. This was our first clothing optional camping experience, and we were a little nervous at first, but the owners and seasonal residents were so friendly and welcoming that we quickly relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. The campground is beautifully landscaped, with large, well-maintained campsites. There is also a large, sparkling salt water pool, a fantastic hot tub, and a Poolside Showerhouse and Bathhouse. However, those are currently under construction, so we were unable to use those facilities. The owners, Bryan, Matt and Paul, are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure their guests have a great experience. The seasonal residents are also very friendly and inviting. We quickly made friends with our neighbors, and we enjoyed spending time with them around the pool. We had a wonderful time at Camp Boomerang, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premiere men’s only RV park & campground.

One of the best male campgrounds in Michigan! Perfect place to camp and get away from the world for a weekend and make amazing friends from all over.

Outstanding facility. We showed up and rang at the gate and were let in, revealing a wonderfully clean and well kept park. They have concrete pads and paved roads, so dirt and debris inside the camper is minimal. We stayed with some friends on their “buddy site” which is an oversized corner lot with a patio joining both sites directly in front of the pool. It was very quiet, very clean, and very relaxing. The owners took GREAT care of us. It was refreshing to visit a campground that was clean and well-kept. It is very evident that ownership takes a lot of pride in what they do there. The pool is heated and they have an attached in-ground hot tub. Both are sparkling clean. The restroom facilities are more than impressive. They even have trails in the back where you can cruise around on your golf cart. The neighbors were all more than friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back. Thank you for a memorable experience.
