Sugar Sand Farms — Local services in Rosedale

I recently purchased produce from Sugar Sand Farms, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing, falling well below expectations. The cucumbers I bought were particularly bland and utterly tasteless, lacking any of the refreshing crispness one expects. I suspect they may have been exposed to heat for too long, as their quality seemed compromised. The tomatoes suffered from a similar issue, appearing to have been heat-damaged, which negatively impacted their flavor and texture. The most significant disappointment, however, was the watermelon. It was inedible, to the point where I had to discard the entire fruit. This was a complete waste and incredibly frustrating. Overall, the quality of the produce I received from Sugar Sand Farms was poor, leading to a very unsatisfactory experience. I hope the farm can address these issues to ensure fresher, higher-quality products for their customers...

I passed by this road side stand on my Dad's birthday, who passed away in December. Peaches were his favorite fruit and he loved and appreciated dessert more than anyone I know. I had the peach ice cream in his honor (and because it sounded delicious) and it very well may be one of the best things I've ever eaten. I live over an hour away but will have to make a trip back before they close for the season. I also bought peaches, jam, and okra and it was all delicious! You can't get produce...

The fresh produce selection was amazing. Planned on just getting some peaches, ended up getting a little bit of everything. I saw a jar of cherry salsa and had to have it. I put a little on my breakfast burritos this morning and that first taste blew my mind. I've never had a salsa where you want to just grab a spoon and eat it straight from the jar.
