Dollar General — Local services in Rossville

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the closest store to my house so I try to go there and change my opinion about this place. The staff here is so lazy. They will not put up stock so there's boxes everywhere and you can barely fort through the aisles. Every time I go here, there's a line to the back of the store and they refuse to open another register. They put in a new self checkout in so I thought it'd be easier to get in and out of there. Come to find out, not everything was put into the system so I had to get my purchase voided and put to the back of the huge line because they're computer was messed up. Today takes the cake. I went in, got my items and walked to the register. I was told that there's a lady getting something before she checks out. She was standing across the store on her phone not coming back. After about 5 minutes I ask if she can just void the transaction and let me go. She told me she had no power to do that and pulled her phone out and started texting someone. The customer comes back and said she's not done and to just void it and let me go, but the girl said I can't and pulled her phone back out. I will never come back to this store again....

Went in with a 5 off of 25 on my purchase. It was on my number with the app. The register wouldn't take off the 5 even though my whole purchase was 30 dollars. The girl at the register called her manager and her manger said she had no idea what to do she has never been asked that question before. The girl at the register said don't we just price change something to take off the 5 dollars. She said she didn't know but to call a number and ask them. At this point we have wasted 5 mins of our time while they couldn't figure it out. I just don't worry about it. I paid for my items and left. They need better training at this location. This Dollar General is less than a mile from my house and I will avoid it at all costs. There is absolutely no organization, they are constantly "restocking" or moving things around, its really odd because the place always looks like its in shambles and staff are just standing around. They always have ONLY 1 register open so sometimes there will be a very long line and it will take you at least 15 minutes to check out because the staff is so slow! I've never seen anything like it in my life. We have waited in line with one person in front of us and waiting for 10 minutes, there were no issues with the transaction, it just took them that long to swipe the few products and handle the money. Very weird....
