Absolutely horrific service I would not be surprised if this place does not last long or needs a complete cleanse on the people that work there. Not only have I sat in the lobby for hours with A concussion And had to wait at least five hours before I was maybe brought to the back and once you even get to the back your back there for at least an hour and 30 minutes to basically be told nothing. The nurses are unprofessional the cleaners are unprofessional. You don’t get to meet much doctors beside the ones on the iPad that are at home relaxing. This place needs better suited professionals because the ones that are there are not at all. They are children that don’t have any experience in this emergency room really shows that they don’t want to pick or pay for people to actually take care of you but for children to run around and take their time with the lobby, full of people, throwing up, bleeding, sick with face mask, people with things stuck on their head, bandages wrapped around. It seems like they prioritize other emergencies over another person, so if you go in there and they came at least an hour and a half after you best believe they are going to be seen before you I guess ranking on what’s wrong with them. The entire place reeks of pee and disease, I literally watched a cleaner go into the lobby bathroom “ Clean” The floor with the mop and then take that same mop and wipe the walls in the stalls of the bathroom. No wonder it smells like pee everywhere. The security is rude and does not know how to talk to people. I’ve watched the security be rude to the visitors multiple times as they were coming in to meet their sick loved ones that are in the back waiting in the halls. Don’t send anyone you love here and don’t let the ambulance bring them there either, walking into the back I’ve seen an elderly woman on a stretcher nearly passed out in the hallway and I’ve seen multiple others on stretchers in a bed in the hallway. This place needs to be shut down or hire different and more experience people because this is a mess. I wouldn’t recommend my worst enemy come here. I’ve sat in the lobby for literally four hours plus and decided I was finally sick of waiting to be seen after watching multiple people that come in after me be seen before me and left. After leaving because I did not go to work to go sit inside of the emergency room and never be seen. I’ve asked for a work note. It was told that I can’t even get a work note because I wasn’t seen by a doctor. I only seen someone on the iPad. I sat in the lobby for hours, so if you need a work note or anything like that, you will not get it from here. This place is awful. Oh also people that are super sick and sneezing in the air and coughing Are gonna be right inside of the emergency room with you with no mask or instructed to wear a mask. I had a that could’ve been contagious to others and was not told to wear a mask and sat in the lobby for hours, this is disgusting in this place needs serious help. Do...
Read moreOn April 19, 2024, I went to the emergency room at Franklin Square Medical Center due to a fever and bleeding following a surgery I had three days earlier (at the same location). While waiting, they drew a blood right in the waiting room, where everyone else was waiting and new people were arriving. However, they allowed me to collect urine privately. After an 8-hour wait, I was finally moved to an ER room. There, I waited for a doctor for an additional 2 hours. My doctor arrived around 1am. Based on the blood analysis, she suspected an infection and sent me for a CT scan. Later I was given an antibiotic. Around 6am, members of the surgical team visited me (about an hour and a half after being informed and asked to visit). They recommended that I stay in the hospital for a day to monitor my fever and other symptoms. Eventually, I was transferred to the hospital. To summarize the timing, I arrived at the ER around 3pm on Friday and was transferred to the hospital around 11am on Saturday. The nurse who initially attended to me in the ER room did not wear gloves (she had manicure) and performed all procedures, including connecting the IV, with bare hands. Additionally, she disconnected and reattached the IV with bare hands when I visited the bathroom. It's worth noting that all other individuals who visited the ER room wore gloves or put them on before any procedures. At the hospital, my impressions are more positive, however, there were some inconveniences. For example, in the hospital, no one else allowed me to disconnect from the IV, so I had to move a stand when going to the bathroom. On the negative side, the first nurse who attended to me pierced my vein, causing a bruise. The last nurse who drew my blood placed all the equipment directly on my bed (I strongly doubt its sterility, especially considering my stay) and closed the puncture wound with a bandage that came into contact with the sheet. My surgery was performed at Franklin Square Medical Center, and I have been feeling terrible since the day of the surgery. My condition has only worsened day by day. I am almost certain about how I contracted this infection and I definitely need to consult with a lawer. Finally, I would like to express my gratitude to many of the staff who do a good job. Unfortunately, I cannot describe my overall experience with Medstar as positive. Therefore, my final score is...
Read moreThis is the worst place I ever been to they treated me so badly here. I’ve been here twice and both times were horrible!!! The first time I came I brought my 6 month old baby here and we were left in the waiting room for 3 hours and while that is ok for an adult that is unacceptable for a baby. That day I got up and left to a different ER called UM st Joseph medical center and she was brought right in upon arriving! Then My second experience which was two days ago August 3 I came in and I was brought to the back to do vital signs and an ekg. She lift my shirt up and right there and then I had to throw up and I was faint so I fell onto the floor and began throwing up in my bag and the nurse who was attending me began yelling at me aggressively to “get up”! She then stormed out yelling “this is ridiculous get up I am not dealing with this get off the floor go back to the waiting room!!” While I was on the floor no nurse came to assist me they all stared at me saying get up while my shirt was still pulled up and everything. I then got up and took a cab to another emergency room because I no longer felt safe here. I went to (UM St Joseph medical center) where they brought me in immediately first thing they did was draw blood ,ekg, fluids, pee test, several vital signs of standing laying down sitting down and rules out that I was suffering vertigo and POT syndrome. Both are not life threatening however I can not stop thinking about if it were life threatening This place would have just left me on the floor to die. I feel so heart broken by this and I am a bit depressed from this traumatic experience. The waiting room was full it was loud all the nurses were yelling at everyone and there was so much garbage all over the place. Nurses kept yelling at people to put masks on and constantly harassing rather than treating people. This hospital is so unprofessional so disgusting and this is just a law sue waiting to happen. Close this place down do not come here and do not bring your kids here. Shame on the nurse who did this to me I did not get her name I was so dizzy so nauseous so fatigued. Shame on you! You are a disgrace to the medical profession. My name is grace rodgers and everything was on camera Get this...
