Nice course, awkward/rude staff. I played 18 holes on the Gold course and loved the condition of the course. Screens on the carts with distance information is also a huge plus. But when I arrived I wasn't greeted nicely in the clubhouse and had a 30 second staring contest with the cashier after I said hello. Then after I told him that I wanted to play 18 holes he stood with his hand out waiting for money without even telling me the price. After I got my receipt I arrived at the cart pickup and the tenant made me walk back to the clubhouse because the Junior player I was with didn't have "cart" marked on their slip. After returning to the clubhouse the cashier told me that juniors ride free with paying adults. The cart tenant should have known better instead of wasting my time. Also they have radios so instead of making me walk back it would have been nice for him to inquire about the possibility of a misunderstanding. I'll return because I liked the course but I don't look forward to dealing with the staff on my next visit. Aside from the misunderstanding with the cart I also found their overall vibes to be rude and felt unwelcome. (I gave them no reason to treat me in the manner they did and was behaving and dressed appropriately. I'm not new to the game of golf and despite the age of the person I was playing with, he plays better than most of the other players that I saw on the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of playing at Cedarbrooke Golf Course in Belle Vernon, PA, and overall, it was a great experience. The course itself was in excellent condition, and the pace of play was fantastic.
The fairways and greens at Cedarbrooke Golf Course were well-maintained and provided a challenging yet enjoyable playing surface. The course design offered a good balance of open fairways and strategically placed hazards, making each hole interesting and engaging.
One aspect that could be improved upon is the availability of amenities, especially for early tee-times. Unfortunately, there was no snack or beverage cart on the course, which meant limited options for refreshments during the round. However, this didn't overshadow the overall quality of the golfing experience.
One of the highlights of playing at Cedarbrooke Golf Course was the pace of play. The course was well-managed, and I never felt rushed or held up during my round. It was refreshing to be able to play at a reasonable pace without long delays.
In conclusion, Cedarbrooke Golf Course in Belle Vernon, PA, is a great course that offers a well-maintained playing surface and an enjoyable golfing experience. While amenities may be limited, the excellent course condition and great pace of play more than make up for it. I would recommend Cedarbrooke Golf Course to any golfer looking for a satisfying...
Read moreThere are two courses here, a gold and a red. Historically (for me) the gold was always the nicest of the two and the most challenging however the Red is also very challenging and very nice. Like any public course, there are a few rough spots that they are working on, however I would put this course up there with the best public courses within an hour of Pittsburgh. If you like ever changing terrain, smooth golf cart paths and well kept greens/fairways then this is the course for you. The restaurant / bar is also a great stop off after a round. If you have a large group, they can accommodate you both on the course and the restaurant.
This course used to be a lot more expensive to golf at but now their rates are extremely affordable for everyone to enjoy the game.
For those that mentioned that the course was wet, this is not uncommon for a golf course to be a bit mushy after heavy rains. Especially ones with great softer fairways. I see no difference in this course and others I golf after heavy rains. In fact Cedarbrook's fairways seem to remain very nice even during the dry periods as well. Just be aware that they do not allow golf carts to travel down the middle of a fairway after heavy rains for...
