Great course. One of the best for the public. Seems like a private course when you arrive and play. Ranked #3 in Illinois for top public golf course. You are first introduced to their long drive way. From there, you can drop your bags off to the left and go park your car where the carts will be ready by the bag drop. Greens are fast and tricky. You will need your A game at this course. A good, challenging course that keeps you involved in all of your shots. Try and get your ball in the fairway because the rough is very thick!!! Carts are very comfy with their seats that hug you, GPS that is accurate from the tee to the green which also offers as an electronic scorecard, club and ball washer on the cart. They also provide you with tees if you ever need one and have divot repair tool if you need one as well. The range is awesome, where they use Titleist practice golf balls. Practice green is right behind the range which is accurate to the course greens. They also have a short game facility where you can work on your 60ish yards and in. Short game facility has 2 green side bunkers as well. The restaurant is also a great place to dine in when you are hungry. Good variety of foods you can choose from. Overall, this place is a great place to play, practice...
Read moreIf you have never played the course, the layout is great and challenging. If you don’t have someone with you that has played it, you will find shot placement difficult on some holes. The carts are nice and comfortable. I play very regularly at most of the areas higher end public courses and have to say this is the worst. Every time I have been here there is nobody to provide range balls after paying. The greens are slow, littered with ball marks, and infected with mold so any putt over 4 feet is a guess. It’s no wonder that nobody rathe sand traps because they were full of dirt. No self respecting course let’s people off the back but That’s exactly what they do. And we were fortunate enough to have a group of six walkers put in front of us. I was told they were from the league so they were ok. No beverage cart, nobody at the bag drop, the list goes on. I use the price of a course to gauge the quality when booking. This should be a $50 course and although I would not play it at that price it would let me know what to expect. Read moreSo i see that some don't think this place is worth it. And I love going to places like this so I was very psyched! Let's talk about the golf cart seats first . They are Incredible. Think luxury car. Thats how nice they are. Second, the facilities and clubhouse were really nice. They even offered a bucket of balls to hit at the range, which we declined because we decided to put around. The starter was soooooo nice and cart girl came around a couple times. MInd you, we had a 710am tee time, so that was pretty nice. The short stuff around the greens were a little wild. But besides that, I would completely recommend this one. A lot of water on this course, but nothing that will make you pull your hair out.... All in All....a great place to...
