The worst part of this rental was that we wanted to spend any amount of money to keep the slide overnight. They promote this option all over the site, yet, at check out there was no option available to add this to our cart. Rather, I listed in the notes/special instructions that this was what we wanted to do. Obviously, no one reads the notes/special instructions because we were informed the evening before our event that the slide would arrive between 11am-1pm and would be picked up between 5pm and 7pm. (The gathering was from 2pm-5pm). When I asked to pay to keep it overnight, we were told that the slide was reserved for the next day and they couldn’t accommodate this. It was dropped off about 1, and the guys arrived to pick up the slide promptly at 5pm. This was the most expensive slide to rent, due to the time we had access to it, in the history of slide rentals.
There were multiple slides available to rent, and if anyone at the company read the notes, they could’ve shared that this slide was already reserved for the following day, but that maybe another slide that WAS available for an overnight could be a better option for us. I would’ve gladly paid for a more expensive slide AND the overnight fee if anyone had read the notes/special instructions.
My take aways are as follows: if you rent from this company, DON’T leave your intentions/requests in the notes. No one at this company reads them. Instead, though no one will answer, as they didn’t with us, call and pray for a call/text back. (It seems that the prefer texting - that’s the only form of communication we were offered, other than a form email.) Also, they asked for the event’s hours. Our gathering was from 2-5pm. So they dropped the slide off as late as possible, then picked it up as early as possible. Rather, consider listing event’s hours for at least 6 hours to get the most bang for your buck. That’s what we should’ve done to make this a less regretful purchase. And finally, we live in Round Rock and searched for a company in Round Rock and this place came up. As it turns out, this company charged us a substantial fee to deliver because we were outside of their delivery area. What?? We went on ahead and paid it because we needed the slide to happen. So do your research in order to not get charged such a fee.
They offered a 10% discount for a future rental, however, we will not be taking advantage. There are plenty of other slide companies. I will say that the delivery guys were great, friendly hard workers. They deserved every bit of the tip that we gave them. I did not hear from this owner about a problem with delivering to Gatesville until the morning of the party, March 6. ALSO notice the Florence address which is ONE hour from Gatesville, so the hour and half he is referring to is another booking that they had that day. Again, I called several times to try to cancel with this place and he would not answer. Do not waist your time with these people!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! If I could give 0 stars, I would. Extremely disappointed with the customer service. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. We booked this company for my sons birthday months in advance. I spoke directly to a lady named Brandy and told her our location in Gatesville. We had lengthy conversation TWICE making sure they could deliver to Gatesville (1 hour from Florence) the location Gatesville IS ALSO on their website. So I booked it and paid. Got EVERY email confirmation, including the week of the part AND the night before a text saying “your bounce house will be delivered tomorrow”. Next morning, THE DAY of the party, I get a call from the owner telling me that we should have never been booked in Gatesville and it should not be on the website. NOT once did he apologize. He made me feel like it was my fault for THEM booking with us. The party started at 3, and told me he could try to make it by 2:30 but would let me know. Again NEVER apologizing. I immediately started calling around to difference rentals and thankful found one. I tried to call several times to cancel and he would not answer. I get an email about a cancelled invoice. He was never going to try to make it in time, just said that to get me off the phone. I understand mistakes happen, but for him to Act like it was my fault that we were booked was awful. This company needs to be aware of what they advertise, check bookings the week of NOT cancel the day of, and have better customer service. Read moreThe delivery was late. I could not wait for the delivery and had to leave. I called the office multiple times working to try and get a time scheduled for later in the day. The girl in the office had a not so pleasant attitude. The driver text me to tell me he had arrived. I was not there to give direction of where to set up. Driver was nice, it wasn’t his fault. He asked his manager who told him he had to complete the drop off. I tried to explain to the best of my ability on where to set up. I left a note with my order saying that if the weather was inclement, we could set everything up indoors. It was raining the entire day it was set up and since it was delivered outside of our scheduled delivery window, no one was there to open up for them to set up inside. We spent the entire morning getting water out of the bounce house and trying to dry it. It was still wet and the kids still got wet. The chairs that were delivered were filthy. We also had to clean those before they could be used. We laid our own tarp outside of the bounce house to keep the kids from getting stickers in their feet. When the driver picked everything up, they took our tarp with them. Everyone kept saying, the manager said it has to be delivered, we can’t schedule you for another time. I understand things happen and stuff will end up behind but you show up outside of the time YOU provided and now it’s my responsibility to flex for you? Absolutely not.
