Zen-Relax Massage — Local services in Round Rock

My partner and I enjoy couples massages and the first two times we came, it was amazing. Very clean, good massages, left feeling relaxed. We've had the 60 minute, then the 90 minute, so this time we decided to treat ourselves to 120 minute. We wrote in the notes on the booking app just to confirm we were booking for 120 minutes. We got there and found out the regular couples room was booked, slight bummer because it's very relaxing in there, but not a huge deal. Got the secondary couples room around the corner which was fine. However, the performed a 60 minute massage and said we were done. I had been wondering, during the massage, why it seemed so fast, but figured I was relaxed and lost track of the time. When I opened my eyes and realized only an hour had gone by, I let them know that we had booked the two hour massage. They were confused and had to go find the lady at the front desk, who then apologized and the massauses resumed our massage. Unfortunately, that ruined the whole experience for us. Usually there's a progression that leaves you feeling relaxed and calm. They basically just had to start off at the beginning again.The lady at the front desk seemed to think it was funny and a simple mistake, and there were no accommodations made for what happened. I am in the service industry and in no way blame the massauses, or have any issue paying for services, but we don't often go and spend $300 on ourselves. I just wish they had taken the situation more seriously, offered a discount in the future, anything really. I’d like to first start off by saying my fiancé and I rely on reviews to help make the best quality selection possible. With that said when we initially looked at the negative reviews we were a bit skeptical especially when we tried calling to get pricing we were unable to get through.

Upon physically going to the place we were immediately greeted and helped with questions and booking right away. When we mentioned not being able to get through ( I say mentioned because it wasn’t like we were angry about it, things happen) they went ahead and provided a discount to apologize for the inconvenience of not getting through right away. We later discovered it was a technical issue- not much you can do for that.

The day of the appointment was nothing short of amazing! We realized the people who left the negative reviews may not have understood exactly what they were paying for. Zen provides a traditional Chinese massage which requires using techniques you may not experience at other traditional American spas. We did a couples massage and added the reflexology- a total of 2 hours of pure bliss!! My favorite place to go for an amazing massage. I've referred many friends and family members who are now regulars as well. Small, clean, relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff.

I've had a simple, last minute, 30 minute chair massage on a stressful afternoon, a 4 hand (two massage therapists at once) massage, a 90 minute "couples" massage with my sister and countless 60, 90 & 120 minute table massages. I've enjoyed them all way more than any I've had at those massage chain places.

A few years ago my favorite massage therapist at my chiropractor's office moved & I struggled to find someone who could balance therapeutic with relaxation massage but once I found zen relax I knew I had found a hidden gem.

An added bonus is that they usually fit me in right away. A few days after being rear-ended last week my neck was sore & causing major discomfort. I went online and booked for the same day. They called to confirm & I happened to mention my pain & their response was to call my favorite therapist to come in & had me come in straight away. By the time Sally was done with my 90 minutes I was walking on air (seriously the best massage ever) and no longer in pain. *she also got my sinuses to drain 😄
