Round Top Ranch Antiques is a very large, clean, and air conditioned shop filled with beautiful and very interesting furniture in excellent to pristine condition. Many are 18th century and were either extremely well maintained, or restored with great care and attention to detail. These are not "fixer uppers" and this is not your typical RT destination for all things shabby chic/distressed/rustic. Pieces are well researched with country of origin, approximate dates of manufacture, and price on the hang tag. Very efficient and helpful to both buyers and sellers. The shop owners are very friendly, as well as passionate and knowledgeable of their trade. A must stop while in RT for antique lovers, if only for a little education. I was greeted by Mary, one of the owners, who invited me to come on in where it was air-conditioned, and I felt the southern hospitality immediately. She made me feel right at home as we talked about what I was looking for and what brought me to Round Top (It was for a conference and actually not for antiques!)
