Lotza Stuff Flea Market — Local services in Ruidoso Downs

We have always had a wonderful experience in this store, until today. Most of our cabin furniture and accessories have come from these stores. We always visit when we are in town for several months at a time. Today we arrived before opening and sat in our vehicle to wait. I was approached and asked to move our vehicle a few inches over so that as they fill up everyone will park straight... understandable, but slightly annoying since we were the ONLY customers there and they have acres of parking. No big deal. I then go inside and she informs me that the state is under a mask mandate, again, understandable, I have no problem complying, however, she nor the other employee were wearing one when she made her statement. Nor were they behind plexiglass, so please explain the hypocrisy. She totally destroyed my mood to shop there. We left. The people in this store are awful! RUDE!! Side talking my kids about “it’s not yours until your parents pay” as we were headed to the counter. After paying my family walked out and I heard her talking bad about children. Things are overpriced and they won’t talk about making deals on anything under $50. Anything you take home from this place will have a bad vibe. My 2 year old ended up with a bouncy ball in his hand without a tag, I walked all over the store looking for other balls or a missing tag. Didn’t find anything. She was ugly and said it was probably to a jack set or something. It was a used bouncy ball. Lol. That lady was NASTY. We have not experienced anything like it in all of New Mexico. Much less Ruidoso. Never will return to this overpriced awful vibed place. You know, every time we visit Ruidoso, we go by here and buy little knickknacks and such. We went to the back shop first and after I looked around for a bit, my 6 year old and I went to the larger front shop while my wife shopped at the smaller. The lady working there counter looks at me real funny. I think nothing of it until it's time to check out. She tells my son that father's day is coming up and he'll have to buy his dad something nice. Then my son tells her I'm his dad and she says, "Is that what they tell you?" My son is a spitting image of his mom who is light complexioned, like my mom as well, but I'm a little darker. Very rude. We will never go back...
