While it is a fairly difficult hike, the view from the top is absolutely beautiful, you can see the peaks of surrounding mountains, it's also quite flat at the top which makes it a terrific place for picnics, I would not recommend bringing young children that cannot walk on their own as it is quite a long walk, the trail being a total of 5.8miles (2.9 up 2.9 down), it's quite rocky in some areas and the stones like to shift under your feet when coming down the mountain so I also would not recommend the hike for anyone with ankle issues, there is a porta potty at the base of the mountain where you...
