Coldwater Hill - Eastbound Rest Area — Local services in Rupert

Great place to stop with kiddos for a break! Pets too will like this rest area! Water available for thirsty Fido's and FeFe's!!! Places to roll down the hill of grass, climb the stairs around the building to the top for a fun view and place to run and play for a bit! Inside was nice and clean. Vending machines with cold soda and water outside the building. There is ample parking for cars, trucks with trailers or campers and such. Will be stopping here again for sure! *Some angel left some food and a note for our nation's truck drivers, thanking them for all they do! I've seen a lot worse. The only thing that really bothered me was that I went inside alone where there are so many walls with maps and great information that I was kind of scared who was going to jump out at me from the other side. I hurried in locked the door and hurried out just as fast. Didn't dare look at the information. Maybe mirrored ceilings would help or shorter information walls.

This seems like a pretty good place to stop, stretch your legs, use the facilities, and even lets your pets play. There is a lot of parking for both trucks and cars. The bathrooms are surprisingly clean and even have “rooms” with toilets instead of just stalls. The views are pretty awesome and you can get some good information about parks and places in Idaho inside. There are picnic tables to sit and eat if you want. Need a drink?
