March 11 update-I called inquiring about a long range scope for my Winchester Model 70 300 WSM. They had a number of different brands in stock and patiently explained the features and the price differences. I made an appointment to bring in my rifle to decide what I wanted and could afford. They were competitively priced with Internet stores and have a GREAT tech (Jack) that not only installed the scope on my rifle, he came out of the shop and had me check the laser bore sighting he had set up to see if my eyes were seeing the same thing his were. He spent a considerable amount of time with me. Jack worked in Armaments for the Police in Philly for years and knows his stuff. When my rifle was finished, he asked me what kind of distance I was planning on shooting. Then he told me how to sight in the rifle with what ammunition and how to calibrate the trajectory of the bullet to hit targets at different distances. This is a level of service you will not get anywhere else in Central PA. Awesome. Beautiful, professional installation, and great prices on other items I needed while I waited for my scope to be finished. If I could them 10 stars, I would!
Jan 2014-I stopped in on Thursday afternoon so the store was not dealing with a big sale, just normal traffic. After I browsed around the store a few minutes a sales guy named John came over and asked me if I was able to locate what I was looking for in the store. I was looking for a Shooting Rest and some Flip up covers for my new scope. John went over the features of the different rests and I decided on one. He asked if I had the scope or the rifle with the scope mounted with me. I did. I brought it in and he took the time to make sure the covers fit my scope. He had to open several packages before he found the correct fit. Being that Flip up scope covers are only a $7 item, I was impressed. I also bought a number of other things and reviewed what reloading supplies they had in stock.. I had been hunting for a particular kind of Federal ammunition for 6 months and they had it in stock. Sure a few more bucks a box than Walmart, but what good is a lower price if you don't have it? I will be doing more business with Belding & Mull. Great store,...
Read moreI haven’t been to this store in a while and happened to be in the area today so I stopped in. I was more than satisfied with the experience and the staff there. I was looking at various models of handguns for a future home defense purchase. The staff knew that I was most likely not buying today, but they were still more than happy to try and help, offering numerous options and letting me look at and handle a variety of different guns.
I know some gun stores have strict policies about how many guns are out of the case at one time, but not here. I like being able to go back and forth between choices without having to ask for it to be removed from the case again. That really helps when you’re trying to decide between a few different options. The staff were knowledgeable and never pushy. I’ll definitely be returning when I have the funds I need for my purchase. Prices here are also very fair, based on other shops nearby and some online places. Thanks for...
Read moreThis is a response to the review by Nathan Harbst. I was standing beside Nathan when he was discussing putting his firearm on consignment with your business. At NO time did your employee inform Nathan that there would be a $25 monthly fee after the initial 60 day consignment. NO employee told him this. This should have been the first thing out of your employees mouth, the FEES. Very misleading at the least. There is no other shop in the area that charges this fee. In the past I have purchased a lot of product from your business, but no more. Everything is cheaper in Clearfield so that makes the drive worthwhile. Even the best manager you had left for Clearfield, that says a lot to me. As Nathan replied, I also am done with your business. There are a lot of better places to do good...
