Today we toke our family to the new aquatic center in Russellville. The admission for two children at the ages of one and two and and three adults was $30.00, $6.00 per person no matter what age they are. Personally this is not a place for small children. while we were there our two small children were to cold playing on the splash pad so we tired to go into the smaller pool which only had about 7 people in it and you were able to walk into without using a side pool latter. We were asked to move into the bigger pool because no one under the age of sixteen was aloud in that therapy pool. So we moved, btw I'm a short women of 5'0 it was hard to hold my two year and one year while in the 4'0 area there were teens playing ball in the pool, we got hit with the ball several times. There was not enough room the 4'0 foot area for my family and I to feel safe and have fun. I was very disappointed that moms/dads and babies did not have a safe place that this aquatic center to swim. I don't think that we will...
Read moreHorrible lifeguards. They sit there and watch dangerous things happening. Kids were throwing basketballs at the basketball hoop from all the way across the pool while standing on the side of the pool. We saw one kid slam a basketball at another kids head, and then hold a kid under water and the lifeguard just sat there even after me telling him it was happening. The lifeguard said “his manager would get him in trouble if he said anything.” I said his manager sucked. I then talked to the manager and he seemed defensive and it took his manager several minutes to actually out and endorse the rules and what do you know, the kids magically started acting better. There were also tiny girls right under the goal and bigger kids throwing basketballs at the goal and the lifeguards did nothing. Every one of these lifeguards need to be re trained and the manager needs to be fired for allowing this type of unsafe activity. My God. This...
Read moreLove the location and the climate control. They need a slide and a shallow end that children are allowed in. They now have a huge floating obstacle course for children, and of course several lifeguards at all times. During the hours that they have the floatation device in the competition pool they still have the diving board accessible and and area for kids to swim and play basketball etc. They keep two lanes open for lap swimming also. The therapy pool provides a heated pool for us older generation people so that the cold water won't make your joint ache. If you are a member you can check out exercise equipment for in the water. Perfect for someone like me that need to exercise in water bc of injuries that don't allow exercise...
