We WALKED in to the smell of fresh strawberries. Got watermelons, cantaloupe and strawberries for Memorial day. Well, the strawberries didn't make it. They were sweet and sweeter.. I are every one in the huge basket. Boy, were they good!!! The watermelon was best I have eaten in years. A congo with few seeds and the old time texture of watermelons of days gone by. Not the dense texture of seedless but the juicy run down your face crisp and open texture we love. And can I tell you about the sweet corn? Gooooooodddddd. As Andy Griffith would say. AND CANTALOUPE... SCRATCH OPEN THE VINE END AND IF YOU SMELL CANTALOUPE... IT WILL BE A GOOD ONE... WELL, THIS CANTALOUPE WAS A GREAT ONE AND THE SIZE OF A SOCCER BALL.
