The B Happy General store is GREAT! It’s a little over a mile from Garner State Park in Concan, Texas.
We went there for firewood because the park store wasn’t open. They have everything you could want or need in this store. From charcoal, to wine, baby items, cleaning supplies and RV supplies. Plenty of food stuff , snacks items as well as some staples.
There were plenty of drink choices from alcohol ice beverages, coffee, iced coffee, soda and water. Check out all my pics and you’ve pretty much seen the contents of the store.
Some other unexpected items that were here was shoes, clothing ( jeans/ shorts/ shorts and sweatshirts). They also had jewelry, souvenirs, a wide selection of greeting cards and don’t forget gas and propane bottles for your grill.
The person at the counter was pleasant and efficient and. The store was clean. They also make pizza here, which we didn’t try this time. They have an ATM in case you forgot your wallet, Ice cream, ice cubes, grilling utensils and so much more.
Stop in if you’ve forgotten something on your way to Garner State Park. ! Nice small store and very completely stocked....
Read moreIf i could give zero stars I would. On our way out of Concan we got hit with a severe SEVERE thunderstorm. We pulled over here because the rain was so bad. Hail came fast and the rain poured down. The gas stations flagpole was almost bent in half from the wind! We were about to run into the store to take shelter with our four young kids when we saw another family with kids locked out and not let in! After everything that happened in Kerrville still heavy on peoples minds, you'd think they'd be more helpful and understanding, especially with young kids! Never will we ever support this business. After we were able to get back on the road and FINALLY get service we saw that our location had a warning for imminent danger, and to seek shelter immediately. Glad everyone made it out safe, no thanks...
Read moreMy family and I were visiting Concan for the weekend . We had stopped at this store on our way to Garner early Saturday morning and stocked up on some last minute things. Since we had been in the sun all day we decided to stop again and get some pizza in the evening, worst decision ever!! My family and I became so ill to the point that we had to rush my brother in law to the closest hospital which is in Uvalde all the while having to pull over every 10 minutes to vomit. The doctors then informed us that we got a bad case of food poisoning either from cross contamination or expired dairy. It’s a gamble to get any food from a convenience store but then again maybe you shouldn’t sell it if you don’t plan on handling the...
