Columbia County Fair — Local services in Saint Helens

Not many vendors at the fair this year, even less than last year. Really sad to see it getting even less after covid's impact. And i heard they're bringing those nasty unsafe and unsanitary big ball back where they put kids into them and leave them inside far longer than is safe for Co2 build up and then never once sanitized them between kids and i watched specifically for this step. I mean seriously, when kids get droopy, lethargic and can no longer jump around in them as told to do to get up over the ledge of the shadow pool for staff of the carnival to pull them on out there is the clear sign the kiddos are oxygen depleted and to much Co2. My kids will not be going in them. We will enjoy other rides with our rude bracelets, eat all the fair food- hoping fire Mexican street corn again like a few years back we had! And hoping for henna tattoos... and Scentsea rep, the lady who makes her approns, the fairy gardens, the plant sale items, and all the animals. I sure missed all the free play areas for the kids last year and hope they set up a misting area by the first Aid area. Just would be a smart thing to do to avoid heat...

i love the fairs but they r really getting carried away with all the charges. u pay to park u pay to come into the fair then the foods r pretty expensive and if u want to ride the rides? its a fortune. they were charging 40 bucks for a bracelet. its not worth it anymore if they did 20 dollar bracelets they would make so much money but they r greedy. i paid 4 bucks for 1 corn on cob. i had to shuk it myself and the butter was frozen. the only place that had decent prices was the beer shack!! at least they didnt jack up all their prices. overall it was real disappointing. i wont go next yr same for the rainier days....

Had a great time at the 2022 Columbia County Fair. Attended mainly to see a couple friends play in Valhalla, a Led Zeppelin tribute band. They showed their professionalism playing through a few minor audio issues that were no fault of theirs but regardless their performance was awesome. Thank you event organizers for having the fortuity to book them. Beautiful rural scenery, rides, booths & entertainment for all ages. Definitely returning next year, it's good clean fun for the...
