Pivotal Point Thrift Shoppe — Local services in Saint Joseph

I am a thrift store addict, to say the least. Every chance I get I have to check out the thrift stores that are new or new to me. I have to admit. It did take me as while to get to pivotal point, friends told me about it and unfortunately the location was different depending on who I was talking to. Finally found it and totally worth the hunt. Beautiful store, very clean and well kept. Some of the most friendly staff I have ever encountered and the prices are fair too. I'd even say they have very good prices. The sales are daily and I seen 50 %off on some things and they had everything that had a green tag priced at 0.99 I got some amazing jeans that would have broke me normally but because of there awesome deals I got enough outfits for the entire week! Best of all the lady's there were telling me that there proceeds almost completely go to things like helping homeless people get on there feet. With a slogan like "be the hand up to those in need," you would think they'd be affordable.I used to love Pivotal Point and would tell all my friends to come here. Was always my go-to bc I love supporting their mission. I hadn't been in for a couple of months, but i had some extra money and needed a few things for our home. I was saddened to see how much prices have increased. They're just as bad as Red Racks with their department store prices. I wouldn't think a thrift store would charge $49.99 for a twin comforter, $40 for lamps, $99.99 for a hanging mirror; these are things donated to them!!! The prices are far from "unbeatable"... I just left pivotal point thrift shoppe after shopping and listening to Christian music and seeing Scripture upon entering the store I purchased a sm pair of binoculars that were defective. I went right back in and told them they were no good and I would like a refund or ask if they would let me exchange it for something else. I was told no. The manager wouldn't even show their face and had the staff member give me the good news. Wow, really I would think they would have tried to make it right but no way.
