Hidden Oaks Golf Course — Local services in Saint Louis

The coarse is pretty decent. A couple of the fairways on the front nine are extremely bumpy, but there are lots of great views. Greens are in great shape. The reason for three stars is they charge a 15 dollar rider fee for 9 holes, which is absolutely ridiculous, so it was $31 or $33 for 9 with 15 on top of that which made it like $50 for 9 holes the coarse isn't that nice by no means it's an average to be low average coarse in all. One of my concerns with charging so much to have my 7 year old son ride the course with me is that people are not going to be able to afford to have their kids ride along and we are going to lose the next generation of golfers due to greedy people 😕.... response to their response. we only got two carts, one for me and my rider and one for my friend and his rider, and we were each charged 15 dollar rider fee for someone to sit on the cart with us. just seemed a little steep. Course was in rough shape, but the real issue was the owner. We skipped a hole to get around a slow group, and the owner (part of that group) came over and yelled at us for several minutes. She was extremely rude and made us so uncomfortable that my friend didn’t even want to go back for his club.

On top of that, I accidentally shanked a shot in their direction while they were on the tee box, and she yelled at us for “hitting into them”, which wasn’t the case at all, it was just a bad golf shot.

I want to make this clear, this was THE WORST INTERACTION I've had with ANYONE of a golf course in my 15 years of golf.

The first week of May 2025 I set up a golf outing for August 16th, I went back the last week of May to confirm, and it was confirmed. I went back at least once in June to update the number of golfers they should expect, no problem. Then in July when I called with another update on numbers, now not only is it not booked they have another event booked. I don't appreciate being strung along all summer while I promote the event when apparently they knew all along it wasn't going to happen and weren't going to tell me. Doesn't seem like a good way to do business. It's sad because I love the course but can't say...
