Spirit on the Water is absolutely breathtaking! I’ve stayed there twice, now, and I absolutely plan on going back! The owner and her staff are beyond friendly. The rooms are stunning. The infinity pool is magnificent. But the best of all is the view! Every part of this villa has an absolutely amazing view of the ocean and neighboring islands! Many parts of it are built right into the cliff, so you’re actually right over the ocean!
Spirit on the Water even has its own van! They will pick you up from the airport and drop you off when it’s time to go home. This is HUGE as the taxi services on the island can be very expensive! Each room also has access to community kitchens, so if you want to buy groceries and cook your own meals you can!
As soon as you arrive you’ll be greeted by Nick, the property manager. He’s a very “down to Earth” and kind person. He made my girlfriend and I feel like we were coming home, rather than renting a room. Anything we needed help with he was happy to be of assistance. His dog Sam is another great addition to your stay (ask to see Sam’s “super cape”). There are several dogs/cats that live on the property, and they are very friendly and will cozy up with you by the pool and fire pit! The property is huge, so if you’re allergic or aren’t an animal person, avoiding them won’t be an issue!
I am very pleased with my two experiences at Spirit on the Water and I want to go back ASAP! If you’re looking for an experience that’s much better than staying at a tourist...
Read moreThis retreat was absolutely beautiful. A large group of my friends and I came to celebrate friends 40th birthdays and we had such an excellent time. We all had plenty of beds to sleep on, enjoy some hammock time, there was room for exercise or just sunbathing. There was grills to use for cooking or the huge kitchen to prepare meals. There was plenty of refrigerators available as well. We did a lot of grocery shopping particularly for drinks. I appreciate that there was also an ice machine in the kitchen and a dishwasher. They had a few games available in the house as well. The pool was a nice feature which had salt water in it. The water was cold and took a little while to get used to it. Diane who manages the house was available for help as well. She was kind enough to pick up the ordered food from town on our very first day there. My only advise is to make sure to spray bug spray on yourselves. We never really saw bugs flying around, but we woke up to red welts on our legs and arms. We checked for bed bugs, but they were not present. And it only happened on our last night there. We spent 5 nights there. So it may not have been specifically from the retreat as we did travel into town. But regardless, my advice would be to make sure to spray yourselves down even if you...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing! My family and friends (a group of 21) reserved the entire villa. June was helpful from the moment I saw the property online until the very end of our stay. Nick was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us a full run down of anything we needed to know about the house and area. Nick was also available throughout our stay to answer any questions we had. Niko was available for Yoga sessions (he is adorable and so sweet). We did multiple sessions including a sunset session which is a must! We had several small children with us for our stay with a wide range in ages from 6months, 1.5, 4, 5, 6, 10, 13, 14, 15 and every single one of them enjoyed their stay and LOVED the pool. All the hammocks around the property were perfect for a morning coffee or a relaxing afternoon nap. The outside showers were amazing as well. Everything we could of needed for our stay was there. The decor around the house brings such great vibes. I love the picture on the coffee table and end tables you can tell there are stories to go with them. I only have good things to say about this place and I cannot wait to come back! Do yourself a favor and...
