This place is a scam. They ripped me off for $520 in diagnostic fees after I contacted them to see if my car was done. I was informed by Robb that my timer ran out! I didn't know I have a timer for a fix of turn signals not working. Robb said my 2 hour timer expired. I asked him what that meant. He said they didn't find the problem in 2 full hours of working on it. Keep in mind that they are experts in this type of work. He asked me for permission to continue for another $260 for 2 more hours of diagnosis. I told Robb NO. i told him I will be in touch before 6pm to advise my intentions. This was at 230pm.My intentions were to go get my car from these thieves. I got a phone call from Robb approximately 345pm. He said, Hi Tim, we got your car fixed. I asked how that could be when I told you NO to continue diagnosing my vehicle. Robb said, "we took it upon ourselves to continue diagnosing and found the problem". You should be happy he then said. My intentions again, after I told Robb NO to continuing diagnosing, was to go pay them $260 diagnostic fees. I went up next day and was presented a bill for $663.56 which I disputed. The clerk behind counter told me I have to pay or I don't get my vehicle. That is theft. I was robbed. I am elderly senior citizen, very easy prey. I called and spoke to Paul, owner, and after few minutes he hung up the phone. They obviously don't have any manners, either. I have begun processes available to me to have them investigated for their illicit actions. I posted this to let anybody know who is looking for auto electrical repair to, BEWARE of MURRAY AUTO ELECTRIC. They will rip you off like they did me. Your vehicle is held as ransom until you pay! This company is the most dishonest company I have dealt with in my life and I am almost 70 years old. I took my wrangler in to have 7 pin run from front to back and a brake controller. I made the mistake of telling them I really needed it done by end of week which they took advantage of me on the price of not only the products but the labor especially as I called around for pricing. After getting run through the wash on price I get home and find that my pod lights that worked perfectly no longer had power to them. I called to see if the tech maybe disconnected something or had any ideas but was met with impatient exhales and sighs. This was an hour drive so making a 2 hr round trip wasn’t exactly something I was interested in to be met with more disgruntled shop workers. I have been looking for backup power for my camper and checked many different places. I stay year round in it and I wanted a way to keep my water pipes from freezing if the power goes off. Most dealers wanted to sell me a big expensive unit I could run my house with. Since most of the essentials run off of DC or propane, Rob set me up with a sweet little unit that will take care of my needs, explained how it works and made sure I understood everything.
