Mill Creek Haunted Prison — Local services in Salem

DEFINITELY NOT SALEM'S BEST HAUNTED HOUSE A few things made this experience so bad. First, the organization is a mess. There are no signs to tell people where to wait or where to go to buy in-person tickets so everyone is in one line and no one knows what's going on. Secondly, I'm not bothered by stairs but we were taken to the second floor to get a picture taken, then led to the third floor for the first haunt up the same stairway that others were coming down from that haunt and people are leaving the haunted house all together. People could totally just sneak up the stairway and go into the second haunt. Also, lines outside, lines on the first floor and lines on the second floor. What?? Now for the actual quality of the haunt. It was overstimulating while very underwhelming. Their only "scare" is to blow out your ear drums. You will either get high pitch screams or actors banging on walls. That's it. Oh, and where is the story or flow of the prison? Why are there clowns? Well because there are always clowns in a haunted house even if it makes absolutely no sense at all. The only reason the VIP ticket was worth the extra $$ was that I didn't have to wait hours in different lines to get disappointed and frustrated. Pretty cool haunted house our kid loved it and had fun. The ticket for VIP we ordered they really didn't follow on that at all and we felt it was little dis organized on that along with where people are supposed to go. No signs stating following arrows or nothing. We had to ask the person and they finally told us what we needed to do. The people did very well on the costume and on the haunted house! The tour of the basement was cool but honestly it should just be added in with the haunted house not to be charged extra price. I have never left a review before but DO NOT take the ghost tour. The tour guide was very much just winging it the whole time. “let’s look at the moldy basement room we don’t see activity in and there’s lead but let’s look at it” LOL. Normally ghost tours are history about the building at least and something about the ppl who died but she didn’t know anything.. lol.
