Arrived at 2200 for a 0100 apt. They were light tonight so they let me in. Got a door at 2230 and was out the door at 2315. They already send you a lumper fee before you get to the door. Paid the lumper fee but got another lumper fee for a pallet that needed to be restacked after I left the door, never had that before. They explained why which is stated early in this post, they send the initial lumper fee before you get to the door. I got a call from the clerk to go to the door and a call at 0500 to come get my paperwork. I get my paperwork itās stamped 0222 but I got a call at 0500 telling me to come get my paperwork and that she was leaving, hung right up in my face. The reviews are right about people attitudes. showed her my phone where I got all of her calls except the one showing on her phone where she so call called me. Itās kinda ironic how I got all her other calls but not the one at 0254 telling me to come get my paperwork. I looked at my phone bill and I donāt have a call from her but it shows in her phone she called mines. I asked her to dial my phone in front of me and that call went through. Doesnāt add up. Talked to the manger and we got into a heated argument. He stated you want your stinking 50 dollars Iāll give it to you. I said all yāall warehouses are the same, robbing drivers of detention, itās the principality for me. I stated I am a 20 year Army Veteran, why would I lie about a call, I showed him my phone and he looked at hers, itās ironic how this call got missed but I got all the other calls. They stated Aldi is the reason we have to wait for paperwork because they have to count the product before we get the paperwork, thatās why it takes so long to get paperwork. It is not the lumper service fault. I understand you got to stand up for your employees but in the reviews it states she has a bad attitude which she does but all drivers are not the same. I talked to another supervisor and he was wondering why the lumper manager was up set, I said because he said I called him a theft. The lumper manger and I squashed our differences, shook on it and went about our way. Grown men donāt need to walk away without settling their differences, built different. Overall not a bad place when you get here early and everything is jelling. They say no overnight parking but I count at lease 10 trucks here overnight parking. You win some...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBoth the security guard and the security guard boss is very incompetent. First day that I was scheduled for a load at 2 a.m., there was a tornado watch for the entire County. Salisbury was in the top part of the storm warning. I miss my appointment and got there at 4 a.m., waited there for an hour just for them to tell me to reschedule the appointment, understandable. Second day had went there only for them to tell me to reschedule appointment again. Third day I came and got there on time, there was a line backed up from the guard shack. Get to the front of the line only to be told that I had to reschedule the appointment again. I demanded to know why and they told me that it was up to Aldi and it was nothing that they could do. I asked if there was a number that I could call and he said he does not know. I was so upset that I waited for the guards to go away and I went into receiving on the other side of the building myself. Luckily the woman on the inside at recieving was in disbelief that it had been rescheduled twice and was about to happen a third time. She got me into a door. Word to the wise, the security guards do not mean you any good. They could help if they actually wanted to but they do not. The boss actually looked like he took joy in telling me that there was nothing I could do about it. I had that load from friday with a delivery on monday that turned into missing out on 3000 worth of loads with a delivery on Wednesday. If there is a tornado, just get picked up by the winds and make it to your appointment on time. At least if you die, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy experience here was good. I arrived at 2000 for a 2200 appointment. I deducted a star because it took 2 hours of waiting in line at the guard shack. It starts off as 2 lanes, breaks down into 4 lanes, and the 2 right lanes were definitely moving way faster than the two left lanes, even though they are the original 2 lanes and are closest to the guard shack. A guard comes around handing out papers to fill in with your information. When you get to the front of the line, you go in and they check you in and give you your door number or put you in staging. They do ask for everyone's DOT number. I was given a door immediately. Broke seal, opened doors, backed in, then took paperwork to receiving office. Within 30 minutes I was unloaded and received a text to pay the lumper fee. I pulled from the door and parked across from the doors as instructed, paid the lumper fee, then waited on a phone call saying my paperwork was done. I received the call at 0019, went to the office to get my paperwork, then left. Waiting in line at the guard shack seemed to take the longest. Unloading was quick, and didn't take too long for paperwork afterwards. There is a Sheetz less than a mile away. I got there around 0045 and there were 10 to...
