It can be very hot here. Although there is now an air-conditioned in the big buildings. Sometimes it works in areas better than others. These are Big concrete Butler buildings and the heat just soaks right in them. Love the outside table deals the best. If you don't hit the outside tables before you go in the buildings you are doing yourself a disservice. Many of these vendors get the stuff at the same place. The outside vendors tend to be more hungry for a deal. I also understand it is a little cheaper for the tables verses the inside places. Also I have noticed even the shops under the shed have better prices. While it is hot as blue blazes you'll be happy with the savings. However there are some good deals to be found throughout this facility. There's everything from A to Z here. A lot of people take credit cards here which is unusual for most flea markets. However before you get here you may want to get cash that is a selling point to some people running the various businesses. Easier to get good buys with cash. Seems like it's harder to get people down nowadays. But the art of the deal is not lost when it comes to a flea market. That's what makes bargain shopping fun here. If one table says no you can probably find the same thing on down the line at another table. Like for example a common item you see all around this place is a sun hat. Okay one table will have them for $4. Then you go on down the line they will have them for $3. However I went outside a guy was getting ready to leave he sold his 2 for $5. Another thing that's very popular here is knives you can get clip knives here for as low as $5 a piece and as high as $10 a piece. Most of them are all made in China so the lower you get them at the better you are. In fact if you read most of the stuff here is made in China. But that's the way it is nowadays with a lot of merchandise that you buy for full retail in Walmart. I understand there is a big Distribution Center most of all these people go to before they come to the flea market every Saturday and Sunday. They buy big boxes of stuff then sell it for $1 all the way up to $10. That's why you see similar stuff at every booth. I bought a brand new Poulan chainsaw that actually works and a leaf blower both were only $20 a piece . Another great bargain I got from here was a battery charger pack for $10 . Yes it is still working to this day and so is the chainsaw and the leaf blower and that was 3 years ago. However that's why you should use your tongue and try to get the big deal. That guy went down from 50 bucks a piece for this chainsaw and leaf blower . Have fun it's a great flea market. You should be able to get quite a lot of stuff at least a trunk full for $50. Remember try to bargain the art of the deal. This place seems to be a early place so come early many of the dealers quit dealing after 2 p.m. Never have I understood why they leave so quickly. Before the 5 p.m. deadline which is the posted hours everywhere. But the main time for outdoors and indoor sales seems to be from 8:30 till 2 p.m. However the hours are supposed to be 830 am to 5pm Saturday and Sunday. The best time to catch a good deal is when they are getting ready to leave. They would rather sell it then put it back in the truck. So I guess the best time for dealing is between 2 and 5 p.m. if you're wanting to catch the art of the biggest deals. Have fun! Enjoy finding everything from A to Z and everything in between. It's a lot of fun going through this place. It has been here quite a while in Salisbury. A lot of people go Christmas shopping here. And some people come here just for the food and atmosphere. I have friends that has been working here a long time. They have done pretty well here. There's always a lot of people...
Read moreI have been selling at web road over the 12 years and someone needs to boot Buddy{manager) out. He is a total lier, vendors padding his pockets to keep their spots. Treats women like crap, cussing and yelling at them. Trust me I know this first hand cause it happened to me more times than I care to mention. The last straw was this past weekend on Valentines Day. I get there at 3am every weekend to wait in line with a few others so we can try to stay in our normal area so our usual buyers will be able to find us. I was the third car in line and I knew Buddy would put me on top of the hill and I didn't want that area so me and a another guy where waiting for more sellers to come through so we could get further down the row. Not Happening! Buddy pulls up and demands me to get in line for a spot. I said "well in that case you need to go tell your big black buddy the same thing cause he is waiting as well. He said " I did so get the hell in line. We drove to the hill and I told his assistant that they needed to go get the black gut too cause he isn't moving". Buddy gets out screaming "dont you worry about him, I told him to get up here too. I said "no you did not, you came straight to me. You didn't even bother him. I proceeded to tell him that I was tired of the way he talked to me almost every weekend. He was either telling me "if you can't back that trailer up, get the hell out and let a man do it"..Or, if I get 3 spots I like to pull my truck in sideways (without the trailer) he will stop and yell at me "pull that damn truck in like its supposed to be". He has never told all the guys that drive white vans that( there are 6 of them) ..anyway I got tired of his treatment so I finally told him Saturday morning that I was sick of his attitude and if he didn't stop I was going to file a discrimination action against him, he say's well you can always leave..better yet, don't come back after today. ARE FREAKING KIDDING ME!! I got back in car and got into my spot and called my boyfriend so I would calm down. Nothing else was said the rest of the day until I was packed and ready to leave. I decided that I would find Buddy and talk. So I went to the truck and ask if we could talk to each other like human beings or what. He says "I dont need to talk anymore I'm not renting you anymore spots. I said "thats fine there are other flea markets just not one close to my house as Webb rd is. He didn't care..I got back in my truck but before I shut the door I said "I'm going to call Chris(the owner) and see what he has to say. Buddy yells back and says "make sure you tell him what you where yelling about the black guy..I went back to his truck and ask "what did you just say" he repeated it and I said "are you saying I said the N word, I just smirked and look him in the eyes and said "you are a lier and if you knew anything about my family history you would look like the biggest dumb-ass in NC. To all my buyers, the HD and bag lady is no...
