My daughter has been wanting to go horseback riding for quite some time. We were coming to Idaho from Virginia to visit my grandmother. As a gift for my daughter she booked a day trip for the three of us. We met Justin, our guide in the morning he was very nice and answered all of our many questions. After a brief safety meeting he had us get on our horses he was sure that the saddles fit us just right. We rode a good way stopping to learn some facts about the area along the way. After a couple hours we stopped for lunch. Lunch was amazing. Best picnic ever homemade pasta salad and chicken salad sandwiches among other things. Then it was back in the horses for the ride out. I have fished with Rawhide Outfitters for over 15 years on at least 8 trips. It is hard to describe the experiences I have had with this family run outfit. These are the most honest hard working folks I have ever met and fished with. They treat you like royalty. They know the river better than anyone I have ever met. I have always caught fish with them, but more importantly my experiences have been nothing but great. Cathy is a great cook who wants to please you anyway she can from her hand made sandwich's soups and desserts. I took my 3 daughters on vacation from California and we went white water rafting with Rawhide, and we will do it again and again!! It was the best time we could have had. Clay was our guide, he made sure to give my 6yr an experience she will never forget. Very kind and knowledgeable telling us history and facts as we went down river. The best part was making sure everyone got wet through the whole trip. Emmie was our cook and followed up down river with the van. She was the sweetest and most attentive to my kids.
