04/2024 Nice drive along a winding country road. The 50 mph speed limit is nice for viewing. There are many stops to pull off at. Most pull offs are just a sign explaining what use to be there or what happened in the general location. There are a few mounds to see and a couple short trails to walk. The Nachez Trace trail runs along the Parkway and we seen some individuals hiking. The three campgrounds along the way are free but get to a site early. Because they fill up fast. The Jeff Buzzbee campground my be designed for bicycles because every site is on a slope. You can park your car on the blacktop but it prohibits anyone from parking or driving near you. There were toilets at each campground but they definitely need maintenance. The Rocky Springs campground was level for RV and Van's. Anything over 40' might have a hard time driving through here and parking. The restrooms at this location get a lot of use and backup. While we stayed the men's facility wasn't working properly and men used the women's facilities. Not a big deal but...

Only taking us a little bit less than three days to travel the entire route of the Natchez trace Parkway stopping along all the major stop offs along the way. The area is full of rich history as the Natchez Trace is one of the original routes in the U.S. predating most all of the other routes established such as the Ozark Trail. The Natchez Trace Parkway is a 444-mile recreational road and scenic drive through three states. A Drive through 10,000 Years of History you could easily spend much more time exploring and learning about the how and the why of this recreational road and scenic drive. It’s a highly recommended scenic drive along some of our country’s first routes to be laid down in our...

I LOVE the Natchez Trace parkway. If you want to go for a long drive without alot of distracting traffic and want to explore nature trails, spend real time with family in nature( bonding time), take pictures of wildlife, waterfalls, springs, old cabins and historic sites or cookout & grill or simply carry a picnic basket, this is a good place to make it happen. They have grills at some sites, readily available and clean bathroom stops. I love it and it's also great place for meditating, and finding peace and quiet, a place to clear your mind. And last but not least, it's great for...

This was a nice carefree, leasure, 50-55mph ride from Nashville, TN to Tupelo, MS for us. There are so many places to stop off and read about history on the parkway that you could spend multiple days. Beautiful scenery of greenery. Lots of wildlife. Just an FYI, it is a corridor of mostly woods on both sides. You aren't going to see a lot of anything different. Speed limit is heavily enforced. Very clean. No trash or squished "things" on roadways. Restrooms on the parkway are clean. Must get off of the parkway in order to get gas. Will travel this again!

All beautiful! 449 miles at 50 mph. Slow, easy, sweeping curves. No stress or danger. No hills, really. Just slight gains or loses in elevation. Different for bicycles but for cars and motorcycles, their almost unfelt. Nice sign at South end beginning but no sign at North end. A little monotonous in that all of it, which is wonderfully beautiful, is mostly the same view. I checked this off of my list!
