We came to town to visit family. We live in Daytona area and kayak yearly on a crazy run down there. So we wanted something calm and chill for our anniversary trip. We looked around and came across this company. I noticed the rating and decided to skim through to see where the "problems" were. Stumbled upon the most unfair review I've ever read in my entire life but then read the absolute best business response ever. So without any further question we called immediately to reserve. I found the review ridiculous as I too have celiac. So past that.... arrived and the staff was so friendly! Extremely helpful! We had a car issue and they offered to help and let us go later but we said no way we wanted to explore the river. Hopped in the van and had an amazing drive over to the launch. The guys were so friendly. Even reminded me before we left to make sure I had all of my items including my lunch 😉. Once we arrived to the launch spot the guided us and pushed us off. The river was calm and peaceful. So beautiful!!! And good to know I was gonna get greeted by a gator so I enjoyed myself. Also amazing... they rented us a speaker! Because I forgot mine in FL! We will definitely visit family again and make sure we use this business. So honestly thanks to the guy who got mad over an innocent mistake because it lead us in the absolute correct direction to the best PA kayak company we found! See you...

I'm writing a one star review for a company I've never used. Why? Because they tried to steal my stuff.

I was at the Conemaugh Dam boat launch unloading my gear. I set my lunch bag down and carried my kayak to the launch. When I went back for my lunch bag, it was missing. After asking my friends if they had grabbed it, I noticed the Saltsburg Kayak van driving away. I ran up to it and pounded on the window to stop them. THEY WERE DRIVING AWAY WITH MY LUNCH!!! Who does that? There were 20-30 people at the launch and instead of asking if the lunch bag belonged to anyone, they picked it up and tried driving off with it!

I'm celiac, which means I have to adhere to a extremely strict diet. If I hadn't stopped their van, I would have been without food or hydration and would have had to go home. My day was almost ruined because these guys tried to run off with something that didn't...

Make sure to book a reservation! Simply a recommendation, not a requirement. Some of the staff are wonderful, others - not so much. I kayaked for the first time this summer and didn't know much about what to expect especially about the different types of kayakes. Other people within separate groups were also confused. This was very apparent. The staff who rode us out were not helpful. At all. The man who drove us all out speeds uncessarily on small, windy roads which is a little uncomfortable but....

Once out on the water, everything was great. Take your time to enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Soak up the sun and live in the moment. If you go in the late afternoon, you have about 3hr to get back to shop. I recommend going out during...
