Dollar General — Local services in San Angelo

I returned 2 item that were $1 a piece and had my original receipt. The sales clerk couldn’t do a refund so she hollered to someone else to help. He hollered back that he was counting money. After a few verbal exchanges the clerk went to the back to get someone else. That girl came to the register with the look of I’m bothering her. Without smiling or acknowledging me, she did the refund. However, I was given $1 for one item and .75 cents for the other. They were both listed on the receipt as $1. I asked her for the other .25 cents. She said she could not give it to me because the computer said so. We discussed the transaction a bit then I asked for a manager. According to her, she WAS the manager. She reinstated that that was what the computer said and she could change it. I reminded her that I would not be able to leave owing them money. I guess they just use random pictures cause that's not the dollar store here. Not my issue just thought id say that. My issue is more than half the time there is nobody at the register. I understand there are more parts of the job than just the register but when you can't even find someone to come to the register it's a little ridiculous. They have a self checkout but it only takes cards so if you have to pay with cash be prepared to wait a bit until someone actully comes up to the front. Short blonde hair manager punk likes to smoke cigarettes infront of the store while customers are walking in and out with kids.
