Not a place one would typically hang out, but they have enough PPE regulations to give you a false sense of security. The rule about needing a hard hat seems a bit over board since they do not require eye protection. You have to wear a safety vest, fine but did not see anything about needing proper foot wear. Served its purpose. If you have a local electric bill you get one free dump a month per address.

FIRST OFF I SUGGEST YOU GO BACK AND READ ALL OF THESE REVIEWS! 60% OF THEM ARE NEGATIVE. THAT TELLS YOU SOMETHING RIGHT THERE. And your response of "customer feed back is important to republic svcs" is just rubbish. These people are rude and very unprofessional. Especially the lady inside the scale house. Logan, a supervisor, is just as unhelpful as the rest of the bunch. It seems everytime I've been there, either myself or people in front of me have issues with these people. BUT LIKE IT SAYS IN PREVIOUS REVIEWS, THEY ARE RUDE AND GET AWAY WITH IT BECAUSE THERE IS NO OTHER LANDFILL. ALSO THE TRASH THEY (REPUBLIC SVCS)LEAVE IN THE STREETS ON TRASH DAY WHILE DUMPING DUMPSTERS IS JUST RIDICULOUS. INSTEAD OF GOING TO THE DUMP AND DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR BULK PICKUP AND JUST LET THEM PICK IT UP OFF THE CURB! INSTEAD OF HAVING TO DEAL WITH THE DRAMA AND PAY MORE MONEY. BULK PICK UP PEOPLE IS...

So as long as you go by the “rules” of this place and adhere to them, everything goes just fine. What I mean by rules is bring your proper PPE (hardhat, safety vest, safety glasses & I take it a step further & bring gloves) & tarp your load you won’t be subject to any extra charges. Take your water bill (for San Angelo residents) & it’s free once a month (as long as you abide by the “rules”). If you take a trailer, then you have to go up the hill. If you don’t take a trailer & just have the truck bed full, you can go over to the convenience center which is what I do. Much easier than going up the hill to the main area where you have to back up to the main trash pile & offload there. Was hard to get routine down here but once I did it’s really not that big of deal to go here & learn what all they expect so you don’t...

Since they are about the only place you can throw your trash, they use this against you. The ladies that work the scales are rude. They always have something negative to say, "if you get stuck no one is gonna help you get out". "Don't come after 4:15 anymore". "We're gonna charge you a no tarp fee". Always something. I've gone at least 20 times this summer and even though I only take 5-7 hundred pounds at a time I didn't get any slack on the 2 times I was over 180 pounds. And what's up with that. Both times I was exactly 1180 pounds. What are the chances. It seems as if they lied about it to me. I swear I didn't even have 900. Anyway the roads are also trash. With all the equipment and money they make you would think they...
