I’ve been searching for bbq in SD that is comparable to places like Franklins, Terry Blacks, or La BBQ in Austin TX. I somehow found Jim’s Backyard BBQ on a Google search and decided to roll the dice. I ordered a half brisket (point) and it came 2 days later. Im happy to have FINALLY found legit bbq in SD.

The brisket was juicy, flavorful, fatty, and melts in your mouth. The smoked bark is densely packed with delicious deep flavors. You know it’s good when you don’t need bbq sauce. I ate most of it as is.
