Extremely Disappointing Experience with Costco Tire Services
Dear Costco Customer Service Team,
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the tire services I recently experienced at your Raleigh Rd San Jose store. This has been, by far, the worst customer service encounter I have ever had, and I feel compelled to share my concerns in the hope that improvements can be made to prevent others from facing similar issues.
Three months ago, I purchased tires from your store, and unfortunately, one of them developed a nail puncture. When I brought it in for repair, I was informed that the tire needed to be replaced. While I initially assumed this would be covered under warranty, I was informed that the cost would be prorated based on usage, and I was still required to pay approximately $160 for the replacement tire.
The inconvenience didnât end there. After ordering the tire, I had to wait an entire week for it to arrive. When I called to check on its status, I was told it had arrived, but no one from Costco had bothered to inform me. To make matters worse, when I requested an appointment for installation, the earliest date available was 15 days later, with the only alternative being a walk-in early in the morning.
I arrived at your store at 8:00 AM, only to find 10 people already ahead of me. I ended up waiting for 5 hours on a working day just to get a single tire replaced. This level of inefficiency and lack of consideration for customersâ time is completely unacceptable.
This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and has left me deeply disappointed with Costcoâs tire services. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and implement changes to improve the process for future customers.
I look forward to hearing from you regarding...
Read moreI decided to try out the Optometrist Department and had a great visit with a Doctor Tran. The signs say Doctor Kim but there are 3 Doctors working there. Doctor Sung is the 3rd, Doctor. The young lady Katherine was excellent in her help and service to me. She assisted make the appointment and checked me in when I went in. I found the selection of this place perfect for my budget and accepting my insurance VSP was helpful on my eye exam. I also have Eye Med from work so double coverage will help me in my choices of glasses. The Eye Med did not cover any eye exam fees but will cover the glasses cost when I pick them out. So overall it will be fun, easy and accommodating to go here for my eye wear and Doctor visits. I saw 3 people working outside with the patients looking for glasses. I did let my daughter and wife know that this was a great experience, and they should give the Optometrists a try for their glasses. I picked out the Ray Ban model clear lens with Progressive and Prescription and the Blue shade sunscreen. Flavia and Amanda were very helpful.
10/10/25 Today was a Costco lunch for me. I bought some Rotisseiri lemon hebs and spices chicken wings they make in the back section by the meat department and a delicious Turkey Pesto toasted sandwich from the snack bar. I took it home and had some Progesso clam chowder soup and a nice cold Coke all bought from Costo and took it home for lunch. It...
Read moreI know itâs probably pointless to complain about your staff when itâs no secret most of San Jose is stuck up regardless of net worth, but if my last visit went worse it wouldâve resulted in a lawsuit. Iâm disabled and use motorized carts when I go to large stores such as Costco locations. Thankfully a cart was available and charged. I was next in line and just waiting on the member I was with to present the membership card, and no one behind me in my line. Anyways, the member I was with was taking only like three minutes to get to the line and still no one behind me. Your packer took it upon their self to go to the line next to me to and started taking stuff out of a ladyâs cart who was in no obvious way ready to be checked out- after I was told she was going to help the next customer. My stuff was already on the conveyor and my motorized cart was less than a foot away from being behind the check stand so I decided to move up before the stuck up packer could bring the stuff over to be checked out. She couldâve injured me and I wouldâve defended myself and sued her personally and your manager on staff and your company. Your cashier didnât greet and was tapping his finger the whole time the card machine was taking payment. Itâs clear Costco could care less about the disabled. Shame on you. Also, make sure all of your locations have ready the motorized carts and enough on hand, otherwise...
