Falcon Golf Club — Local services in Sandwich

Sadly, Falcon Golf Course has fallen into serious disrepair. A year ago, the course was in the best condition I can recall. Apparently, a change in personnel, breakdown in the irrigation system and some level of negligence has led to major problems with most the greens. The tee boxes are as hard as a rock. Sand traps haven’t been touched all year. If you forgot golf courses are living, breathing beings in need of professional maintenance, Falcon’s plight is a sad reminder. Course, today, July 11, 2019 was in bad shape. Fairways with heavy grass and weeds, greens atrocious, with infection, sand and bumps. I have played this course for 50 years. Unsatisfactory. No 100, 150, or 200 posts to give you distances. They should do better. Or we will go to sandwich hollows for 29 bucks to play 9 holes. Disappointed. Staying locally for a few weeks and this is my regular go to place. Staff is friendly, atmosphere is great and the food is always good. If you decide to eat on the patio just be prepared for a noisy dinner or opt to eat inside if thats what you prefer. FYI, I always choose to eat on the patio.
