Sanford Food Center — Local services in Sanford

The Sanford store is the greatest! They listen to their customers! Last year I expressed my dismay when the store switched to cheaper plastic bags to bag the groceries. I spoke with the manager and explained that I stopped shopping at Meijer because many trips turned into frustration as I unloaded grocery bags that broke en route from the trunk of my car to my pantry. (Yes, I can double bag but why should I have to!) A couple weeks later I went into shop and to my delight they had switched back to the thicker bags. Absolutely love this place. Been driving by it for years in between Soaring Eagle and Saganing Eagle's Landing casinos but until about a month ago, had never stopped. Then I did....and did a couple more times. They have what seems homemade food of all types....I tried their tuna macaroni salad, and one can get like a half cooked (seasoned and grilled) chicken that is phenomenal for only a few bucks....sure beats eating casino or Meijer food everytime I'm casino hopping. Been coming here since I was a kid and after tonight I just walked out and will never be back. The past year or so everytime go there I get zero customer service, and they completely ghost you when they walk by you in an aisle.The deli service made me not want to come back after tonight.
