This review is more for CUSTOMER SERVICE/QUALITY CONTROL rather than the product itself. Although there is nothing wrong with this bed drawer unit (except it isn't worth $452 dollars based on materials and plywood sides), it looks ridiculous under the solid end bunk bed set. I'm surprised that no one reached out to me when I ordered the bunk bed set with this BED drawer unit, rather than the BUNK drawer unit - maybe to ask me if this was really the correct drawer unit I meant to order. It's the same price for either drawer unit, but the bed drawer unit is substantially lower in height compared to the bunk drawer unit. With a 30% restocking fee plus return shipping costs, I'm stuck with an expensive error on my part. It's a shame my order wasn't questioned on the receiving end of things. Customer service is non-existent these days. This was my fault but that's what customer service/quality control is there for, isn't it? To ensure the customer ordered correctly prior to fulfilling orders? I'm going to say they don't do...
Read moreWe bought our This End Up furniture in 1975 off the back of their first truck at the Apple Chill street festival in Chapel Hill NC . After moving to Auburn with the original furniture we added a dresser and a set of bunk beds. We used those beds first stacked and then in separate rooms till the boys graduated high school. The sofa and two chairs and end table and coffee table all looked just fine. A few dents and scratches in the wood but certainly as sturdy as the day it was built. We were on the 3 rd set of covers when he took it and they were really needing to be replaced at that point.
We are now in our 70's and getting ready to purchase a new This End Up sofa !! Can hardly wait. It is the best no...
Read moreMoved it across the country several times. Sanded it. Stained it, Turned the king and twin bed into canopy beds with curtains. Sent a picture of my canopies to TEU. Dismantled the canopy beds. Moved again. Got new cushions for it. Sold it,...but I still have the bunk beds. My son has the coffee table. That coffee table has been distressed by my kids and then I deliberately distressed it even more and stained it. It has that "rustic Look". It's so nice to not having to worry about standing on this furniture or smashing backpacks on it. NOT ALL PINE IS CREATED EQUAL. This stuff is good. I've seen it in dorms and fraternities. Yeah... if it can make it in a fraternity, it can make it...
