Horrible experience! We feel we were conned by the folks in charge. We went to the fair on Wednesday July 3 to see the fireworks and participate in the other activities. We arrived at the fair between 5:30 - 6pm so my son and his friend could enjoy some of the rides. We spent $50 for two bracelets only to find 4 of the bigger rides were not constructed (with no one even attempting to construct them). The nonoperational rides were somewhat toward the back so you donât see them from the front. Two of the constructed rides that were up and running had to be shut down (while standing in line) to tighten down some bolts and make other adjustments. This leads me to ask.., Really, donât you check for loose anything prior to allowing people to ride. Considering the boys are 12 yrs old it was a bust because of nothing to ride. Once we realized all those rides were not constructed I went back to the ticket booth only to be told sorry no refunds (actually they just pointed to the sign). Not to make a scene I left it alone and moved on. $50 for two functional bigger rides is a scam. Did I mention the few little rides that were running even had dozens of burned out bulbs. Grundy should have done a better job at monitoring all of this and should have not allowed the operation to continue until 100% complete and SAFE prior to selling anything. What a disappointing experience and a shameful display of...
Read moreGreat time with ridiculously high prices to ride rides. 5 tickets at 1.25 so $6.25 per person to ride for less than 1 minute. No lines to get on a ride because people are paying too much for gas and food to pay $18.75 for my wife, son, and myself to ride one ride. I didn't see a ride less than 4 tickets to ride. These carnivals travel all over and I have heard some of them complain about no people showing up. Maybe charge less for your rides so they fill up with people who may even ride twice if they don't have to pay so much per ride. I also wanted to watch the tractor pull but at $18 per person I didn't want to pay $54. I noticed very few people were in the stands so they probably lost money on the event. I bought two cheeseburgers for $18.00 and $10.00 for lemonade. We rode two rides, ate, looked at the animals and went home. My son was disappointed. Thanks. ...
