Horrible experience! We feel we were conned by the folks in charge. We went to the fair on Wednesday July 3 to see the fireworks and participate in the other activities. We arrived at the fair between 5:30 - 6pm so my son and his friend could enjoy some of the rides. We spent $50 for two bracelets only to find 4 of the bigger rides were not constructed (with no one even attempting to construct them). The nonoperational rides were somewhat toward the back so you don’t see them from the front. Two of the constructed rides that were up and running had to be shut down (while standing in line) to tighten down some bolts and make other adjustments. This leads me to ask.., Really, don’t you check for loose anything prior to allowing people to ride. Considering the boys are 12 yrs old it was a bust because of nothing to ride. Once we realized all those rides were not constructed I went back to the ticket booth only to be told sorry no refunds (actually they just pointed to the sign). Not to make a scene I left it alone and moved on. $50 for two functional bigger rides is a scam. Did I mention the few little rides that were running even had dozens of burned out bulbs. Grundy should have done a better job at monitoring all of this and should have not allowed the operation to continue until 100% complete and SAFE prior to selling anything. What a disappointing experience and a shameful display of...

Great time with ridiculously high prices to ride rides. 5 tickets at 1.25 so $6.25 per person to ride for less than 1 minute. No lines to get on a ride because people are paying too much for gas and food to pay $18.75 for my wife, son, and myself to ride one ride. I didn't see a ride less than 4 tickets to ride. These carnivals travel all over and I have heard some of them complain about no people showing up. Maybe charge less for your rides so they fill up with people who may even ride twice if they don't have to pay so much per ride. I also wanted to watch the tractor pull but at $18 per person I didn't want to pay $54. I noticed very few people were in the stands so they probably lost money on the event. I bought two cheeseburgers for $18.00 and $10.00 for lemonade. We rode two rides, ate, looked at the animals and went home. My son was disappointed. Thanks. ...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Local Fairgrounds with Community Spirit

Grundy County Fairgrounds is a fantastic place for family fun and community events. Whether it’s the county fair, a car show, a rodeo, or a local market, there’s always something going on that brings people together. The grounds are spacious, well-kept, and easy to navigate, with plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

There’s a great mix of entertainment, food vendors, and activities for all ages. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed—exactly what you want in a small-town fair experience. You can tell the people running it care about keeping things organized and enjoyable.

It’s a great place to make memories with family or just spend a nice day out. Highly recommend checking out any event hosted here—you won’t be...

During the fair in July there are rides, animals being judged, cows, rabbits, pigs, horses. There is a small petting section and a pig race. There is some carni food and fireworks. Lots of parking, free before 5 to get in. Lots of friendly people. When it is hot out it is hard to tolerate with the smells. I took my 2 year old in the morning as it is cooler and he loved the rabbit judging, you can get up close to them as well as the other animals. There is also a pony to ride for kids under 75 pounds. Havnt really tried the food. I had the cheese fries and they were as good as can be expected. Over all a good time for a few hours. Blair was there and showed my son there horse in a pen eating and he was able to pet her. Thanks

Nothing like the smell of rubber, exhaust, and track food. Love going to the local races. If you forget your earplugs, and believe me you will need them, they are available in one of the vendors booths for $1. Free parking! Try and find your seats in the center section of the grandstands, those bleachers have seat backs.
