I would not recommend this facility to anyone who requires even a moderate level of assistance. The lack of compassion and kindness that can be shown to residents when they ask for help is abhorrent. It is difficult for people to lose their independence and asking for help can be so hard as the aging process progresses, so to be met with the kind of attitude that makes these residents feel like a burden when they need help getting out of bed, puts them at risk of falls when they don't feel comfortable asking for help. The morning staff recently has forgotten to deliver breakfast to my family member multiple times, though they ensured they ate their breakfast, and when they finally got around to it, there is not ample food left. I'm a Physical Therapist who practices primarily in the geriatric population and I work in Assisted Living facilities. This is not a place I would recommend any of my patients to transition to as their needs increase. Lastly, ALL of these concerns have been communicated to management on multiple occasions and nothing has changed. So despite the cordial responses on negative google reviews, it is clear that the standard of care is set and accepted here. When looking for a facility for your family member, I recommend looking not at amenities or activities, but how the staff interacts with and treats the residents and family members. No amount of brunches or shopping trips can make up for a lack of kindness and compassion for...
Read moreMoving a loved one into an assisted living facility is not an easy decision nor a simple task, but it helps when the place you choose has the facilities and resources to help make the transition run smoothly. I have been so pleased with the staff and services provided by Harmony at Savannah. It truly is a wonderful, caring community. The staff there has been so easy to work with. Taylor Murdoch was helpful with our initial meetings and community tour as we made our decision. The Executive Director, Monica Lee, has been nothing short of AMAZING. She has been there for us personally at every step of the process of moving into the community. She has impressed me so much with her responsiveness, professionalism and leadership of an amazing staff that truly cares about their residents. The caregivers on the second floor have been so caring and attentive to my mom and stepdad. Big load off my mind. Special shout out also to Matt Reinsel who helped tremendously with the logistics of moving in and Chef Brian (BA) Smith who is cooking some great food! If you are looking for that next phase of your loved one’s life, I highly recommend Harmony...
Read moreStaff is experienced and caring. Could communicate with family members more on care . Memory care is a difficult job . I understand fully what it takes as I have cared for my husband before bringing him there. I would not say food is by a professional gourmet chef . My husband has adjusted well to being there. He has been there almost two months. I have high expectations so I do not expect them to meet my requirements, so I do what I can to make up the difference . I am there 3 to 4 times a week in the evenings and usually one full weekend day. My husband receives medications right after evening meal and dressed for bed when I get there. The property is well maintained and beautiful. I love the fact I can come and go as I please as a family member. That is why I choose Harmony. You must be realistic when choosing a facility for your loved one. None of them are perfect but Harmony comes close to everything I was looking for. While there are things I feel should be changed there is nothing we can't deal...
