For readers curious as to the level of kindness, consideration, and quality of a tree farm, look no further, and here's why:
Last week my little sister and I had set out on our yearly adventure to get a Christmas tree. We traveled South to Newberg and arrived too late to dedicate time to finding a quality tree before it became dark. Most trees we observed were thin or too small.
This week, we tried again and traveled north.
Like all family traditions, we believe supporting tree farms is much more effective and gratuitous to our local economy, and its best done by going to a U-Cut.
Our first stop in North Plains was closed. After searching google maps, we saw Mitchell Christmas Tree Farm showing as open. We were about 18 minutes away when I called to confirm if any Grand Firs were available. Lisa picked up the phone and stated the farm was actually closed but Google had not updated their business information due to being under review.
That could have been the end of the conversation BUT, Lisa said we could come anyway. She provided directions, the assistance of her two young and very well mannered sons in their gator, and even assisted my little sister and I with getting an enormous 12' tree on the top of my vehicle, secured with twine. All at an affordable price. We were present for nearly an hr and a half to two hours. They ensured we left safely by showing us the way out and even followed up to ensure we made it home safely.
The farm has a dedicated tree cutting area with tools, twine, outhouses, and other materials, sitting on a wonderful 180 acre landscape.
Thank you to Lisa and your family for your help. Great families like yours ensure others can relish in the cheer of the holiday season and enjoy the warmth and hearth of their homes with the smell of freshly cut quality trees. Thank you again and we hope to see you all next year. Hope Papa Mitchell gets better.
