Terrible customer service experience, repeated issues with both washer and dryer after delivery, literally had to scrape someone's dried-on gum from the drum of the dryer- they do not clean prior to delivery. Dryer sold to us broken, had to be serviced and ultimately had to be replaced and even the replacement then had to be serviced. Washer had to be serviced twice, still not working properly...I called to discuss this ongoing issue with manager, she said she would see what they could do, and did not want to commit to replace free of charge, which would be reasonable considering they clearly sold us broken units... basically said she would get back to me. When I called back 4 days later to find out the status the receptionist told me the manager does not speak to the public, that when I spoke to her before it was only because she the only one available at the time ...What??? I explained that I spoke with the manager 4 days prior she knew the situation and the ongoing issues we had been having and she was going to address. The receptionist was then rude and condescending, told me she was not going to transfer me to the manager, that is was her job to help me and I could buy another washer, the next one that came in, over the phone... again, What??? I asked to speak with the manager several times and finally she gave her the phone, the manager was incredibly rude, basically told me she did not know when she would have a replacement unit for me and again no idea if they were going to charge me for this replacement.
Long story short, do not waste your time or money, buy new from a trusted company like Sears, I'd rather buy new over dealing with them again for service on this broken washer. They were rude every time we called about the previous service requests as well, challenging the need for repair, very "put out" by having to provide any customer service.
I decided to post this explanation after the manager called and left me a 2min. harassing and insulting voicemail, all because I posted a 1-star google review. Consumer Review is a tool to express satisfaction or dissatisfaction with a merchant. As a consumer, I have had a very poor experience with this business that lacks professionalism, and I have the right to share with other consumers, I should be able to do this without being bullied and personally insulted...
Read moreI had a fantastic experience with McLaughlin Appliance Sales and Service. Our dryer had been making an unbearable noise for months — so loud that we could barely hear ourselves think. Sean, the technician, came out and immediately diagnosed the issue as worn-out drum rollers. His expertise was evident right away.
I assumed it would take weeks to get the parts, but Sean had everything ordered and ready in less than a week. He returned and completed the repair in about an hour and a half — incredibly efficient. As soon as he left, the dryer was running smoother than ever, almost silent. It was like having a brand-new machine!
Big shout-out to Sean for his skill and speed, and to Rose, the secretary/manager, who was great with communication. They kept me in the loop from start to finish and made the whole process seamless.
