I rate this place as low as possible. I believe is good customer service. People plan there day and drive for miles for what, so they can get yelled at by the range master for absolutely no reason at all. I went there today and saw this one kid (around 25 years) trying to get the attention of the owner (he called his next in order number) and he acted as if the never saw him. The poor kid patently waived him down 5 or 6 times. The poor kid finally patted his shoulder to get his attention, the owner turns around and acted if he never saw him and started stumbling over the kid and falls to the ground. I saw the look on the poor kid. I pulled him over to the side and told him not to feel bad. I was right in front of them and I saw absolutely no reason for him to pull a stunt like he just did. I promise to God, this is the second time I have seen this idiot do this. The fist time I really thought he stumbled on something but I did over hear other guys saying he faked the whole thing. Kind of like a fake NBA foul call. Lol! Ok, so if he did stumble legitimately, the guy had no business working at a very critical, high alert type of employment. He could seriously endanger himself or others. They are so rude and they have crapiest customer service ever! The prices are OK. They are more expensive than other ranges. The only reason we went there was because my brother had just purchased a new shotgun and he really wanted to shoot. Trust me, if it was up to me I would have never gone to that place. Oh and one last thing. Take cash if you do go. I saw these new comers wait for 30 mins in line to be told that they do not except plastic cards. Cash only. I'm sure Mr. Johnny irs appreciate these kinds of...
Read moreI've never encountered any of the negatives I see on some of these reviews. All I have ever encountered was a respectful, friendly staff in all of my times there.
I feel obligated to write this, because it was precisely some of the negative reviews on here that made me say "Uhhmmm....I don't know if I want to go to this place. Are they going to be rotten with me?", when I was first researching ranges to try out a few years ago. Well, I "risked" it, went, and have been back about 20 times since. All I've ever encountered have been "Yes Sir"s, and "Thank you Son"s from the friendly owner. Having been so many times, I can't imagine what some of the negative posters did to receive "rudeness". I can only imagine they went in with a negative attitude themselves and received in kind? Other than that possibility, it's baffling that they've encountered anything but positive.
I will dock 1 star for the prices though. You get charged per gun, which kind of stinks when you have a number of guns you want to fire. Once you pay for the spot, you should be able to fire however many guns you like in that stall. The plus, is that it's as many shooters as you want for that gun (I believe..). So I guess for some that would be a positive. I know at the Bullet Hole it's the opposite. Pay per person, but that person can shoot whatever they want in their stall. I think they can even go to other ranges for different weapons...which is kinda cool.
Great place overall, and I love dropping by. Don't be swayed by anyone telling you poor things about the staff. You'll be welcomed here by perfectly pleasant...
Read moreMy family has been coming to this range for decades. The location is pretty handy, the prices are pretty reasonable, and the silhouette range is rare to find. However, this last visit has ensured that we won't return. The owner and his wife were extremely rude. They both chewed us out for using the "wrong" lane (even though there was literally no one on the 100 yd rifle range). To be fair, he may have told me to go to lane 6; I had earplugs in so I'm not sure. However, we went to far end so we were further from the 300 blackout that was being shot on the 50 yd range. The lady then comes down there and chews out my senior parents for sitting at the unused table next to me and insist that they move to another table. Despite being kind of frustrated at the absurdity of it, we oblige. The owner then comes down there and gruffly tells me, "I told you lane 6." Maybe he did, and I didn't hear him, not sure what the point was of hollering at us, at this point, as we had already put holes in our target. He then all but called my dad a liar, when he told him that his wife had told us to use the tables we were at. He then walked away yelling that we had messed up his system. On our way out my dad calmly told them that he'd been coming to that range for 53 years and would never be back, after being treated so rudely. The owner started yelling that we hadn't been treated rudely. The lady even went so far as to follow us to the parking lot to argue that she wasn't being rude. My dad had been going to this range for 53 years and I'd been going most of my life; it is so sad to see that they are running it...
