12/28/2024 They have Spanish and English masses.
I wish they would let the pianist, Matthew (I think), play "Anima Christi" by Jandi Arboleda after the communion. I bet it would make every mass even more beautiful and meaningful.
I read reviews that some members of the congregation are a little snobby and that could be true. But, this is STILL one of the best parishes in the surrounding area (SA, Windcrest, Live Oak, UC, Converse, etc). The church is always well decorated, clean and the temperature is well regulated depending on the weather, the cry room is close to the altar (with it's own restroom/changing room) and it helps the kids get a closer look on how the Holy Mass is celebrated, there are enough parking spots, they have beautiful gardens for meditation/prayer, the event hall is nice and clean and has its own good sized kitchen, they have other rooms for rent (for smaller events/meetings), they have active ministries, committees and groups, the choir sings so well (hopefully they encourage more youth to join or form their own group), the ambience is always beautiful and solemn, there are less announcements after the mass (compared to other parishes), they always have great food (Fish Fridays, BBQ days, etc) and it's worth it because they have several fundraising events (supporting parish members who are in need, etc), the priests are wonderful (always great homily), there is a great diversity of parishioners, and most importantly, personally, they give me an atmosphere of reverence as we celebrate the Holy Mass.
A few members of the congregation may not make everybody feel welcomed BUT it could happen anywhere else as well. If you have doubts going because of some comments here, I would like to still invite you to give this parish a chance. We love it (and it is not even our home parish)! I hope you will as well.
I hope my review helps! Have a...

9/11/2025 11:15am: My mom went to this church to get assistance with the CPS utility bill on Thursday 9/11, and was told by the same “owner” Chris who wears a long sleeve shirt and a black baseball cap, told her that she did not have any overdue balances from CPS while yelling at her, and telling her “you always come here every month and asking for help” and “we’re no longer going to help you” while two older white ladies were making side comments and attacking her verbally at the same time. My mom knew it was a lie, so she called CPS (which the call was recorded for reassurance) as the agent over the phone confirmed on speaker to everyone that heard her say that she was 79-89 dollars overdue, and Chris got upset. It’s like his mask fell off and something evil took over him. The only person in that agency that was respectful and wasn’t yelling/attacking my mom was the older Latina woman, and I hope unexpected blessings come towards...
Read more3 times I visited his church in my own neighborhood and all 3 times I have had hateful experiences. The second day after moving into my new home, I attended Mass at this church. I was new to the parish and I was welcomed by a bitter, crusty old Lady demanding me, to moved from her bench of 20 years. She remained standing while I prayed on my knees. The second time, while waiting patiently in a small hall for Mass to organize, the Organ player came in the door and scowled "Get out of my way" as he proceeded to the Altar. The third time was Easter, and weak from a major Surgery I accidently dropped the host. A short stocky woman from the altar committee ran toward me and demanded I stoop and pick it up from the floor with my mouth. She then followed me to my seat and continued to offend me. I asked her to go away. I will never return there again. I attended the Little Flower Shrine and received the best education and religious rearing by the most caring Sisters. Never had I seen or experienced such disrespect in a...
