Updated... Original problem-water in the fuel... Sunday Feb16-Mechanics arrived on the side of the road the time they said they would. They seemed knowledgeable of the problem, ran tests and were able to diagnose the issue right away. Coolant leak through the injectors. Guys very friendly. Truck was towed to shop, they said they would work on next day cause everything was closed Sunday. They said they call me with an update. đ Monday-Checked out of hotel, walk to truck stop and waited for call. Nothing, so I called midday and they didn't have an answer yet. I called at 5pm was told to check next day. đ¤ Had to go back to hotel after spending day on truck stop. đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸ Tue-Checked out..... Waited for call. Nothing... I called midday they said found correct injector leak but waiting on part and it should be there that same day. Called at 5pm they said they would be ready next day end of day, and they would call me đ¤ˇđ˝ââď¸ Back to hotel... *Ps. Every time I called either got no answer or could never talk to someone that gave me correct update. Wed-Checked out and went to shop. Was told they were waiting for tools to work on truck (not part) and the only mechanic able to work on issue had worked late and hadn't come in yet, but he was called to a different job on Austin đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸. Why??? So, I took a flight home to Atlanta. Thu-call morning was told they're working on it and it would be ready at 3pm, called at 3 they said by end of day, and that they would do a test drive. Decided not to fly so I wouldn't have to go to hotel if truck not ready. (Right call) Was told they worked on truck till 4am. Fri-Flew to San Antonio, called shop, said truck was ready. Got to shop asked for test drive, was told only after company got paid. (BTW had to pay 2nd invoice cause was never told price for service up front) Went to test drive, truck shut down accusing same problem 3 miles from shop. Got back to shop asked for manager. Talk to Manny, who I talked several times before, and he came and showed videos of problem before and after. Said they worked till 4am, and said truck is fixed but issue was just some residue in fuel line, not to worry. THE GOOD: -Truck seems to be fixed. -They worked extra hours to get problem fixed and didn't charge extra labor hours. -They showed up on time on the side of the road. -They were quick to diagnose the problem. THE BAD: -Original issue was fixed only after 5 days on shop, for a job that according to the computer should take 10 hours of labor. -Only mechanic able to work the injector was called to different job when customer had been waiting in and out of hotel for days. -Every time I called talked to different person, or no answer. Felt like I was been given the run around. -Was told they would do a test drive, later they said they only do test drive in issues like transmission or engine. They said they tested, but apparently fan clutch didn't shut off and they didn't realize without heating up engine sensors didn't work properly, that's why it shut down cause it never got hot enough in the shop. Should have done a test drive like they said!!! -After finally being able to drive away, one of my phone charger has stopped working. -3 days after repair the computer still accusing water in fuel, but truck is not shutting down.
*Manny, thanks for being the only one that was honest with me. I'm sorry for the updated harsh review, but I lost a week of pay and I'm in risk of losing my house, and it just didn't seem to bother anyone until the last minute. I shouldn't have to tell you how bad my situation is for the job to be done. I'm hoping the repairs stay good, but you guys need to work on your customer service, customer communication, up front pricing, time estimation, and placing the right mechanic on the right job for customer. *Ps. Having your techs ask for a rating before the job had even been started, đ¤Śđ˝ââď¸ and then have to go through all...
Read moreVery bad experience. We had two breakdowns around the same time. One was a tire service and one required a tow. Truck Masters was called around three in the morning. We gave the info and was told that they'd have techs on both around 0800.
At 10:00 we were told the tow truck was still almost tow hours away. I told them to cancel. The dispatcher told me I would still owe the call out fee. I was transferred to Walter who agreed to cancel without the callout. I asked about the tire guy and explained we had an appt 30 miles away and needed to be there by 1300. I asked if we needed to get someone else. He told me that the tech had the tire and rim and was 30 minutes out and that my truck would be rolling within the hour. I asked if that was a solid ETA. He told me yes. I asked him to please let me know if it changed.
At 11:00 the dispatcher told us the driver was 15 minutes out. At 11:45 we were told 25 minutes out. The tech arrived at noon. At 1300 the tech left because he needed an impact AND we were told at that time a different tech was bringing the rim. At 1330 both techs arrived back on scene. The job wasn't finished until almost 1500.
I made it very clear that we were on a very tight time schedule and if they couldn't handle it to please just let me know. They kept reassuring me that they were sorry but they would have it done "within the hour". In all fairness, they did not charge us the hourly fee, but they did charge for the callout fee and the mileage in addition to the tire and rim. We will not use them again.
Buyer beware. They were not honest about what was going on and the fees for the tire and rim were higher than what was...
Read moreVery bad experience never do business with its people that will rip you off can and break whatever needs to be fixed and will come up with the excuse that it was like that their mechanics do not have no experience when you deal with them youâre dealing with three different people and they suffer of lack of communication between them and will cuss you out. They will quote you a price and change it in a blink of eye If you request for a technician to go out and service your vehicle, they will send a technician that has less than six months experience with no tools, so make sure you have your own so they can borrow your tools to work on your Vehicle
So if you are an owner operator, avoid this place that is a special request from Manuel Valdes the owner he does not appreciate for owner operators to do business with him. He prefers to do business with big companies as he said, or I can rip them off, and they wonât even know.
