Had a wonderful day raspberry picking at this farm yesterday. Wow, they had so many deep-red, large, fresh raspberries! We have tried berry picking in Ann Arbor at other farms and we have only ended up with a small (1/2 a pint) container after an hour of picking. This farm weeds and clears were the berry rows are and this makes it much easier for young kids (and quite frankly me) to reach and find the berries, often hiding under the leaves. Prices are comparable to grocery stores at $4/pint but, obviously these berries are at their peak freshness. The place seems well maintained and the people running the farm are very welcoming and friendly. Read moreThe strawberries this year were terrible. That may or may not be the fault of the farm, but it does tend to be an issue with organic Farms. The bigger problem is that they don’t weed their strawberry patch. So you’re pushing your way through waste high grass to look for strawberries. Prices are reasonable and fields are laid out in a way that makes picking easier. The workers were helpful and I liked that they take both cash and Venmo.
