Strawser’s Ice Cream, Pop & Candy Shop — Local services in Scioto Township

We visited there about a month ago about 2:30 p.m. there were no other customers inside. Two employees were visible, lounging until they were needed. We had to walk into the ice cream section down two steps that were not well marked. The tables were not very clean, even though the employee there was sitting back reading a book or something else off duty. The service was good, the ice cream tasted excellent. it was a little expensive, but that was expected. All the spoons available to customers were sitting loose in a common open dispenser dish. That is unsanitary. I could see that the employees had plenty of time on their hands to tidy up and clean up. If a dozen other customers just walked out, that would make sense that the place wasn't all straightened up. We came into a completely empty dining area and parking lot. The young people there certainly had opportunity to clean it up, but no one did. Regarding the spoons in the dish, this is a collection of unwrapped loose plastic spoons in an open container. Any and every little hand could reach in and shuffle all of them to find one spoon. All the rest of them have now been touched by who knows what kind of a clean or dirty hand. I should have taken a picture. You can do better, Mike Strawser. At least buy and put out for customer use individually wrapped little plastic spoons. In the 3 times we have visited, they are either out of chocolate or vanilla ice cream. The 2 most basic flavors an ice cream shop can have. You have 2 other stores so maybe try borrowing from the others....
