When our washing machine stopped working we saw an ad for Mick’s Mighty Store, where we found a new one for a great price and happily took it home. The next day we hooked it up and started a load. It worked fine except it started shaking during the spin cycle. It didn’t look imbalanced. So we looked at the basket and it moved very freely and heard a slosh of water that wasn’t visible in the basket. It wasn’t like our previous 26-year-old washer, which had more of a fixed basket and we became suspicious.

We called Mick with our concerns and he said he’d come over the next day to look at it if we could wait that long. When he came he did a thorough check over. He taught us a few things about new washers while kindly taking care not to embarrass us: It turned out that this basket is suspended with rods, so it had more movement or “play” than my old one, and it’s ok to have water below the basket.

Everyone needs to know about this store!!! We bought an Amana washer here that was SO CHEAP we couldn't believe it. Then Mike himself came and delivered it to the house (nicest guy you've ever met). I love it. Then was having a minor issue with the electronics, so I called Mike who answered IMMEDIATELY. I called him maybe three times to help with the service call request with Amana because their website is a bit hard to navigate. Every single time I called Mike personally answered, was so upbeat and professional and helpful. In the end, I now have a service visit scheduled at no charge since it's under warranty. It sounds like something minor related to some wiring not secured properly inside the machine making the auto-sensing feature not work 30-40% of the time, and even when the problem occurred, there was an easy work-around so it wasn't anything major, but Mike made sure I was taken care of start to finish. Mike is amazing! I wish I called him first! My husband and I own a condo in Iowa City and 2 of our kids live there. So when a problem arises they call us back in Illinois. What I thought was an electrical issue and after spending more than $600 for them to tell me it was my stove, I called around for appliance repair. Called 2 places and since I didn’t purchase it from them they wouldn’t fix it, understandable. Called Mike and explained my problem, he was willing to at least take a look. Yahoo I thought! He came that same day to look at it and he had it fixed the very next day!!! He would’ve had it fixed the same day but needed an extra part.
