While visiting from out of town, my friends suggested I stop in with them to check out the honey shop. Located at 2318 Ridge Road, you will see a mailbox with a YELLOW sign below it mentioning Local Honey for Sale. Once you've pulled into the driveway, continue slowly to the end of driveway towards the back right side. You will see a small wooden building as seen in the pictures of this review. They accept cash or check, and there are a variety of honey jar sizes to choose from. From cute honey bears to full pint & quart jars, it is a self-serve experience for some of the tastiest local honey around! You can also enjoy pre-jarred bee pollen and honey combs in the cooler for a great price: such a wonderful small business experience! I shall stop in when I visit Louisiana again, and also recommend this to all my friends down south! Keep Bayou Country Honey bookmarked for local honey with great health benefits! 🐝 🍯 🐝

Such a fun place. Honey is amazing. You get to pour the honey yourself into the their container, or bring your own. We enjoyed our visit with Ms Gifford. So enjoyable to do business with nice folks that are passionate about what they do. It is on the honor system, so bring cash or checks to put in the cash box. Make sure to look for the small honey for sale sign on the mailbox on Ridge Road, just west of Fieldspan. Just drive down the driveway past the house and metal barn. We will 100% be back.

Seaux glad I came across this hidden gem! I love how it’s an old fashion concept in today’s time! Easy to find and extremely affordable for quality honey! I think the best part for me was that the honey comes out warm and you can choose a pint mason jar if you don’t have one to bring and either reuse it or purchase another. This will be my go to spot going forward for honey!

This is my husband’s account but I am posting this review as I cannot believe I am just now finding out about this hidden gem! I came here today to get some local honey and man the honey has just a fantastic flavor and the best part is being able to pour it yourself! They use the honor system which you never see anymore and it’s a shame people steal the honey and write bad checks but they still are keeping it in place. I would highly recommend this place as the only place you need to go for honey! Thank you Bayou Country Honey for some of the best honey I have ever had! Also bought some of their bee pollen and...

Was looking for a place to get some local honey. I was surprised to see farm so close, especially one that sells directly to the public. The self service and 24hr availably makes it super convenient.

You don't even have to bring your own containers as they have empty ones available at no extra charge. Pint, quart, and even gallon size prices are available. Plus they have other products like bee pollen and honey combs.

The honey has a great colour and flavour (I assume it's wild flower). I will definitely be coming back for all my...
