Westward Pointe by D.R. Horton — Local services in Sealy

Sales offices lied. They said that they stocked the pond so we could fish in it (false) they said grey perimeter fence was there responsibility (false, HOA and DR disagree) Pool would be maintained and life guards professional (false, 3 years we’ve complained to DR and HOA) Told we could move our fences (false if you’re a corner house or end cap house you can’t move the fence closest to road; DR and HOA can’t agree on this either)

This is just a handful of issues here. As for my home, garage has gaps between the floor and wall. I had flooring replaced under warranty and they screwed up my wall left it and didn’t paint and caulk trim. Subfloor has multiple dips in the foundation. Flooring is cheap and tears easily, they replaced a neighbors floor with actual planks but fought to repair mine and did it poorly. Trim on cabinets done poorly and would not fix it properly. Shower pans in the neighborhood are cracking, repair guy they sent out said it’s from the installers kicking pans into place, refused to replace pan just had a guy come and paint it 🥴

Currently in a lawsuit in Florida for mortgage and escrow calculations being lower to appear cheaper (they did that here as well)

Just moved in a few days ago - AC went out and the AC company told us it would be 3 days before they could get someone out here. Michelle from D.R. Horton made calls and had someone there within an hour. Repair man told us he would have to order a part which would take a couple of days. Michelle came to our home and had him fix it immediately. Can NOT say enough good things about the warranty department!!!! Also- dealing with Michael in sales was a dream. He was there for every single question or concern we could possibly have. DO NOT MOVE HERE! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! HOA SUCKS & FEES HAVE GONE UP $125 in 2 years. They don’t not fix anything, they do not allow you to do anything, and fine you like crazy, their meetings last a whole 60 seconds with no chance to speak. The HOA will be in effect until 2032 no voice from the residents. DR Horton has lied false advertised every aspect of this...
