Pallet Town Games — Local services in Searcy

Writing a review for all the central Arkansas locations to play Magic as I frequent them enough to leave an accurate review. I could have given this one 5, I had a bad experience with the owner that knocked that down. Besides that they’re lacking a consistent playerbase, but don’t let that deter you as they have plenty of space.

I’d like to say the problem I had was anecdotal but I pay a lot of attention and I’ve noticed a pattern. Once someone is a regular he’s very good about showing them new single inventory before it’s listed. However he’s too familiar and flat out rude with folks when he’s stressed. I’ve heard plenty of comments about other people, his consumers, besides the off handed remark he made that was the result of my honesty in returning product that was sold by a new employee to me for a much lower than actual price. I don’t like how he addressed the new employee either, and I know this is Karenesque but when I spend hundreds of dollars in a store I don’t want to be talked down to in any capacity. Besides that experience, their inventory/trade in policy is unrivaled. It’s too much better than your other local options to even factor in my review. Might be a good seller but definitely doesn't buy, not even at bulk price also very rude to outsiders especially if you cant hear well. Did not know that this store existed as I am not a local. Only visit occasionally as my daughter attends Harding (and doesn't play TCGs). When I found out about the store I decided to visit - I'm glad I did, the owner and staff were friendly and eager to talk. The owner provided me a loaner commander deck as I didn't bring my stuff (I will from now on!) the regular players were also very friendly and graciously allowed an outsider to join in their Commander games. In addition the store also had a very hard to find PS1 game in stock (3 copies), the owner gave me a reasonable price and he also inspected all the discs of all the copies to find the best quality game to sell to me!
