Edit: the only typo is in the last "kwh" it is actually "kw" $13.00 per kilowatt but it could still be worse. Out of the 90 some hours that fall in "peak hours" within a billing cycle, they only bill for the highest one. So for that they receive an increase in stars (in addition to reasonable responsiveness after hurricane Helene). But to put that amount into perspective... high energy appliances such as the fridge and electric temperature control systems (hvac) are typically the last items anyone would cut off during these hours. Provided you do not take a shower or use any other appliance, big or small, during these peak hours your bill likely went up $50. It's a major adjustment for morning shower & a hot breakfast kind of people on a low- or fixed- income 🄺 but I guess such is this life. Original Post:Prices on a lot of things went up, and I would expect no exception here, except... to go from a standard $0.11 per kwh to a new peak time rate of $13.00 per kwh 😶 (I assure you that...

Blue Ridge Electric is cheating the 1st shift working people that take a shower, use a blow dryer, make coffee and breakfast before work, which falls with the winter peak hours of 6am to 9am. Blue Ridge will also be price gouging us during the summer peak hours, 6pm to 9pm, as this will be the time many working people will get home to cook dinner, wash dishes, wash clothes, and get the kids bathed. There was no reason peak hours with higher rates were necessary when they were already making a profit. Greed is what it is! Shame on you Blue Ridge Electric! So tired of paying that huge salary for the CEO, paying for the annual employee Christmas party, and paying for those crappy gifts y’all make many members believe are free when they are not. We the people are paying for all of these...

I will tell my family to never use blue ridge electric. You are taking advantage of every person who has to use your electricity. I hope all you who voted for, came up with this program, abs every person who receives bonuses from these costs choke on every $ you receive. My electric usage is less than $26 abd it coat me over $90. If you don't see anything wrong I ng with those figures you are not near as bright as you think. If I ever get away from this company. I will never use it again. I am totally disappointed with every person who works under your roofs. You should as ll brighten up and look for other jobs. And be ashamed of yourselves for supporting a company who takes advantage of people the way...
