Recently purchased a refurbished computer online. Was having a power issue. It would vacillate between stating "plugged in - charging and plugged in - not charging". Took it to a local shop and they diagnosed a problem. Turned out it was not the issue. I called and spoke with Mr. Collins at length, probably 45 minutes to an hour. He mentioned several issues that could cause this. Had me run diagnostics. BINGO - it identified the problem. The battery was going bad. Before I removed it, it showed a charge of approx 50%. I removed the battery and reinstalled it within a few minutes. The charge dropped from 50% to 3% in abut 3-4 minutes. I immediately ordered a new battery. He was very tolerate of my lack of knowledge and very patient with me. He told me to go to Amazon and identified the correct battery for my computer. He did not have to spend that much time with me, especially without compensation. He will be my computer repair guy in the future. He certainly will be my go to guy to purchase any computers. What can I say about Lance and Karen @ PTC techs! So - I had an old desktop from COLLEGE - I graduated from college in 2005. I mean, they don't even make those types of desktops anymore. Anyhow - I needed precious photos off that drive and I couldn't figure out how to get it off. I've been working on a family photo project and kept wondering how in the world I would retrieve it.

I called them and they actually CAME to my house the SAME day and picked the computer up! Then, they got everything off the drive and loaded on an external hard drive and BROUGHT IT BACK to me the NEXT day and even disposed of the computer. Who does that?!?!?!

I spent so much time wondering how in the world I was going to get those much needed photos off. They literally solved a freaking 10 year old problem and headache of mine in ONE DAY. They were super reasonably priced, professional, responsive - omg.

I cannot say ENOUGH good things about them. If you have ANY computer/tech issues - folks Lance, Karen and anyone at PTC techs will have you all set.

Let me just say that I am very reluctant to write a bad review on a small company until I have given them many times to make it right. In the case with this company, I gave them a year to make it right, and they never did. This owner promised us high speed internet service and he ultimately could not deliver. After 10 months of making promises they couldn’t keep, we had enough and decided to hire someone else. I told the owner that I did not want the faulty equipment he sold us; we paid $1600 for the equipment, but the owner said he would only give us a partial reimbursement. Do not use this company for internet unless you want to be seriously stressed and unhappy. There are so many details I’m leaving out, but trust me, don’t make the mistake of hiring...
