Was it even open to the public we wondered ? Neglected and unstaffed. Made us all sad to see the beautiful grounds with little sign of present caretaking. The lavendar varietals signs were all broken and scattered about, large weeds growing out of the lavendar patches, the gazebo is under repair/inaccessible, the little lavendar shop was abandoned, and there was no sign of an owner on the Friday of what is usually lavendar festival (unofficial ly due to COVID19 this year). The property is indeed down a lane and has a treed and private feel to it-the lavendar fields still look pretty healthy and the gabled Victorian looking house rises up in a lovely backdrop as you approach from the oly-discovery trail. The owner was so welcoming, she makes you feel like family. She invited us to leisurely walk her farm then go in and check her gift shop out which we did. She is extremly informtive about lavender and knows her craft. The gift shop contained a small but good selection of lavender products made with the care of an artisan.
